50's Theodore: Hey, look! A color TV! And with more than 3 channels!
50's Dave: They look terrible, Doc! And they're hallucinating! They're talking about synthe-somethings and wrapping paper and... and wearing a moose on my head! Please hurry over!
Dave: They look terrible, doc! They think Eisenhower is the president! And they've never heard of Michael Jackson!
Simon: (looks at Clyde's time machine) Hmm... "Puree, mince, frappe". It looks more like a blender.
Clyde: Very good, Simon. It started out as a blender, but when I hit "puree", it sent me back in time, to the year 1957.
Alvin: (after the Chipmunks big battle of the bands against the 50's Chipmunks) You guys were awesome!
50's Alvin: You were pretty cool yourselves!
Clyde: (checks the results on his machine) And the winner is...
(the bell dings, and the final results pop out of the machine, and Clyde looks at them)
Clyde: The Chipmunks!
Simons: Which Chipmunks?!
Clyde: According to my patented Rock-U-Meter, you tied.
Alvins: Aw, nuts!
Theodores: Now what?!
Simon: (to the real Alvin) Alvin, you'd better talk to yourself, or your career is over!
This episode crosses over with The Alvin Show, a 1950s television series created by Ross Bagdasarian Jr.'s father.
The Alvin Show characters are using the same character models from the previous series but uses the animation/production cycle of the 1980s series.
When the Theodores say "Now what?!" their lips aren't moving.
This is the only season in which all episodes are entirely 30 minutes long.
The title of this episode is a play on the hit 1985 movie Back to the Future.
