  • Man wishes for a better life discovers a remote control that changes his life to be more like TV.

This is my all time favorite episode. Such a outlandish premise makes it even more enjoyable for an avid TV guy like me. Everyone wishes that their life could be a little more like what they see on TV. This episode shows that sometimes that isn\\\'t such a good thing to wish for.

This one of the first episodes I saw when I rediscovered the series on Sci-Fi channel. The episode is a real trip back in time when you see Faceman from A-Team, June Cleaver, Arnold from What\\\'s Happening, KITT from Night Rider, Richard Simmons, and many more. This is an absolute classic.moreless
  • A little Amazing Stories trivia for everyone.

    8.6
Richard Simmons and Lyle Alzado started out as great friends. However, after a day or two, Richard began getting a little too familiar with Lyle. Everyone on the set saw it coming. A huge explosion as Lyle went off on Richard...very loud and very threatening...in front of the whole set. Bob Clark just sort of sat there with his mouth open.

Then there was the music director. A guy named Steve Kopey. A total psycho. He spent the entire week berating his poor slob musicians screaming and yelling about what morons they all were. It was difficult to watch. I recently found out that about 5 years ago he went to his wife\'s work and murdered her boss thinking he was having an affair with his wife. Turned out there was nothing to it. He\'s in prison. I\'m not making this up.

The guy who played the clown, I think his name was Clay Frazier, was a boxer in real life. Earlier in his career he had fought George Foreman and Larry Holmes.

The bass player in the rock and roll band was a guy named Tom Crusie. He was Juan Crusie\'s brother (The guy from Ratt).

And finally, Steve Ameche, the punk rocker who jumped out of the TV set and smashed the guitar, later went on to become a famous entertainment lawyer.moreless
