    There are some sweet moments between Thelma and Reuben in this episode, underscoring the chemistry between Anna Maria Horsford and Clifton Davis in these roles. They get to play several different kinds of feeling and emotion as the relationship starts to heat up: first, it's a more platonic-type friendship; then passion begins to really ignite, and it's more love. Meanwhile, Sherman Hemsley gets the chance to interact with Elsa Raven for the first time when Inga, the deacon's new maid, is introduced. It is clear that the woman feels very amorous toward Ernie, and this will be a continuing gag for the rest of this season and next.moreless
