This is a continuation of the previous episode, with special guest Lonette McKee. The jokes are very good in this episode, and it is probably one of the best scripts of season 3. There's a fun scene in which Anna Maria Horsford's Thelma has Chris (Tony T. Johnson) bring some food to the house, and he manipulates her into paying five dollars for a lollipop. Later, Thelma goes to crash the reverend's "wedding" to Tanya at Rev. Crawford's church, but doesn't realize it's just a scene from a commercial. Horsford enters and exits through a stained glass window, and when she exits, she swings on a rope. The scene cements her status as one of the show's great physical comics, second to (if not on equal ground with) star Sherman Hemsley. Of course, there's a nifty resolution at the end, and Thelma and Reuben's courtship will proceed forward to their eventual marriage. Rolly and the Hetebrinks aren't featured much in this episode, since the plot focuses mostly on the lead stars and guest McKee.moreless
