Sherman Hemsley gets the chance to apply the more poignant aspects of his character in this episode. Ernie Frye is experiencing a sort of mid-life crisis, and he wishes to have some experiences that he can someday tell Thelma and Reuben's unborn child. The script calls for him to dress up like a biker and use a motorcycle. Rolly gets dressed up and uses a motorbike, too! The road scenes are filmed inside the studio. Meanwhile, Clifton Davis and Anna Maria Horsford are involved in a subplot that makes use of the idea that says parents should attempt prenatal communication with their babies. Clifton Davis has a cute scene where Reuben speaks baby talk into a microphone that is transmitting sound through Thelma's womb.moreless
