The group performed their version of "The Masquerade is Over" which was released on the Chancellor label and distributed by ABC Paramount. The group at this time featured Fred Parris who was their original lead singer and writer of their classic "In the Stlill of the Night". The last time the group appeared on the show was in 1957 when "To the Aisle" was on the charts. Bill Baker was lead on this tune as Fred Parris was in the army. When Parris returned to the group from the army Baker began to record with the Chestnuts and then on his own. It is a shame that the Five Satins releases between "To the Aisle" and "The Masquerade is Over" which were released on Ember, Cub, and a host of other labels were ignored by Dick Clark even though they were of superior quality.
