      • Because the series was now syndicated, the air times varied from city to city. Here's a look at some of the times/channels across the US:
In Los Angeles, American Bandstand was broadcast on KTLA, channel 5 (an independent station at the time). For the first 6 months, KTLA aired AB Saturdays at 11:00am. But starting 3/26/88, the station moved AB to Saturdays at 7:00am!!! Then, on 4/30/1988, the series appears to have been completely dropped from KTLA's schedule.
In New York City, WOR channel 9 broadcast the series Saturdays, at 1pm. (WOR-9 aired a few January '88 episodes at 12 noon.) But after 12Mar1988, the series was no longer listed on WOR-9's schedule.
In the Little Rock Area, The New American Bandstand could be viewed on 3 different channels: KASN 38 @ 3pm, KATV(ABC Station) @11:00pm, and on KLRT FOX 16@12:00pm right after Soul Train and Before Solid Gold. While KATV often pre-empted AB, the other two stations carried the complete season.

      • This episode marks American Bandstand's move from ABC to syndication. At this point, the series was retitled "The New American Bandstand."
Dick Clark moved AB into syndication following a dispute with ABC over the length of the show. Dick Clark wanted a 60-minute show but ABC only offered him 30 minutes. So Clark opted opted for a 1-hour syndicated show.
