The man that died, he was just knocked out, and had been walking around the shop before anyone knew. Even he knew about the bishop's arrest.

The episode made it sound like the bishop had molested children and settled outside of court to avoid jail, but the truth is he stole money from a fund raiser to buy an expensive car, but he still acts like a child molester regardless.
