In this episode, Billy Joel, a fan of the show and of the Teutul's work, contacts Paul Sr. about constructing a special bike. He lays out exactly what he wants and it's interesting because he has very definite ideas about the bike. While he is willing to leave some of the detail design work to Paulie and the other guys, Billy comes off as a guy who isn't willing to settle for anything he doesn't want.
The crew, of course, get to hang out with Billy for a while, visit his home and even go on a group ride using bikes from Billy's large collection. Later they unveil the bike at an actual concert.
In an intersting side plot, Mikey and one of the other guys from the shop try to build the anti Billy Bike. Using everything Billy said that he didn't want on a bike, they build one heck of an odd machine that rivals some of Paulie's better creations for originality.
This is one of the better American Chopper episodes this season. I think it is that way because Billy Joel really puts the screws to these guys and challenges them.moreless
