  • In this episode of American Chopper, the OCC crew build a bike for internet company Godaddy.com

    4.5
This episode of American Chopper begins with the OCC crew traveling out to Arizona to meet with the CEO of GoDaddy.com. GoDaddy.com is a company that helps build websites and registers domain names and since OCC is looking to create a web site, this seems like the place to start. However, it turns out that GoDaddy wants OCC to build a chopper for them too...

Once everyone gets back to the shop, the design process starts. However, for some reason Paulie's creative juices just don't flow and he can't muster anything. Without any leadership, Jason Poole the designer, just starts drawing. He works hard but It turns out that Paulie doesn't care for the design and, in order to get the project going, he goes out to the shop and just gets the guys working. Of course that doesn't really work because the customer wants to see the design so, Paul Sr, intervenes and they go back to the drawing board. Finally, they work something up and get GoDaddy's approval.

From there, what started out as a painfully slow and hard to watch episode just wanders off in a million different directions. Paulie and Jason go turkey Hunting, Paul Sr. gets a visit from a dog trainer, Jason gets a raise via his dog, Mikey plays with the security camera, both Pauls go out to Las Vegas to unviel a Chevrolet pickup at the SEMA show and Mikey offers to get Vinny a back wax. Of course, in the middle of the fun, Vinny and Rick get some work done, but overall the show is really, really unfocused.

Coming shortly after the Eragon bike episodes, shows which were in my opinion some of the best ones in the series, this episode was a real let-down. I generally like shows that feature the crew's life outside of work, but when the best action centers around Jason Poole's dog you have to wonder why the bothered to keep filming. This episode was a stinker and American Chopper needs to do better if it wants to keep viewers coming back.moreless
