The Smith family gets ready to celebrate Roger's big 1-6-double-0, but are sidetracked by Steve's horrifying announcement that he's going through puberty! With the wounds still fresh from Hayley going through "the change" in their minds, Stan and Francine use experimental medicine to try and bypass the growing pains of having another teenager with raging hormones.

Overall, this episode was clever and fantastic

  • Funny episode of American Dad

This episode was really perfect and hilarious. It was funny that Steve got his firstpuberty and everyone freaks out about it. The flashbacks with Hayley'spubertywas super hilarious especially how Stan and Francine were scared of it. Steve becoming a 5 year old and then an old man was very hilarious. It was really hilarious that Lisa Silver don't know the 5 yrs old Steve and thinks that he is Steve's uncle LOL. That guy at the CIA who is yelling for brownies and then he was trying to get it was hilarious as well. It was funny that Stan says "Steve, Weather Channel." Francine telling Stan if he ever naked in a gym shower was funny. Even though I gave the episode a 10, I didn't liked how the guys were throwing Steve out of the dance but it's only one negative stuff anyway. The ending where Roger saying "I hate Steve so much" was really cracking me up so hard. Overall, it was a super funny episode of American Dad. Season 4 sure has a lot of good episodes. 10/10

What I liked: Steve flashing the family his new pubic hair, the flashbacks to how Haley was during her puberty, Steve being a 5 year old (probably favorite part of the episode), Steve turning into an old man, Francine and Stan not doing anything to help Steve at the end of the episode, "I hate Steve", amongst other things.

I thought this was a really funny episode. The plots did not do a lot for me but I'd be lying if I said I hadn't laughed a bunch of times, so kudos to the show for making me laugh. Overall my final grade is still going to be an A+ because of the humor found in it.
  • Great start to a new season!!!

This episode was indeed a great start to a new season. If you were to ask me as to who should be somewhat blamed for everything Steve had to go through in this episode, I would say Stan, Francine & Roger. Basically, Stan & Francine should take as much blame as Roger for the torture Steve went through. How you can call yourselves parents if you can't even handle your own teenage daughter going through her own "mood swings" & whatnot? The fact that the memory haunted them since, pretty much laid the frame as to what Steve was gonna go through; in particular, why they did what they did to him. And Roger?! Oh boy, I don't know if I should even get started on him, but then again by now, everyone knows how Roger is. Ruining Steve's chance at the dance was just, well, you know. All in all, the episode was great. It's a shame that Steve will most likely, never truly get the respect he deserves from his family & peers (despite half the time, he does it to himself).
  • A great season premreire.

This is another favorite for me and this is an amazing start to a fantatic season. The Hailey's puberty part was my second favorite part of all time I could not stop laughing when I saw it. Also it was hillarious when Steve was a toddler and when Francine said how girls tormented her and Stan could not stop sweating and frantically looked in her yearbook to see whitch girls tomented her that completely sounds like something Peter would do if Lois told him that but it was still very funny. It also was funny when that guy freaked out over brownies. This also was better then Love Blactually the Family Guy episode that aired the same night as this.
  • Season 4, Episode 1.

I liked the concept for this episode. Steve reaches puberty and gets his first pubic hair. When Francine tries to get a serum to make him stay 14 for a little while longer, it goes wrong, and Steve turns 5 again. Then, when Stan tries to turn him 21, he turns him 80. Hehe, good episode. I liked that nobody paid attention to Roger's birthday. I kinda felt bad for him though. Haha, I loved when Roger said that he killed that little boy Aiden's mother. LMAO! Good writing. I loved when Francine was packing and said she'd rather go to jail than go through her child's puberty again. Haha. I also liked when they stole the old man's oxygen. LMAO. Good episode.
  • Better than Family Guy.

When you compare this episode to the Family Guy one that aired the same night, Love Blacktually, you have to agree that this is the better episode. Why you ask? Simple. The Plot and the jokes.

In Family Guy's episode reused the same plot line of Brain finding a new girl and becomes frustrated when he doesn't get some all the while adding bad jokes and one sided political statements; otherwise, everything we hate about it today.

But here, they properly balance of the characters to move the story forward. Stan and Fran fear of their kids' puberty was priceless. Roger's jealousy of Steve was on the ball from start to end. The last scene of 16 candles was the funniest thing I've seen from Seth all this year because it was so fitting.

It's getting hard tell that reason why American Dad is so popular either because they're better than Family Guy or Family Guy is doing worse on purpose. But still, I would watch this show over any of the newer Family Guy episodes this year.
  • You never know what to expect from American Dad.

I loved this episode because it is a prime example of American Dad's "zany" nature, which often is zanier than Family Guy. The concept of Steve turning into a toddler and then an 80-year-old was your traditional ridiculous plot with American Dad and that's what makes it so great. I found myself laughing frequently. Roger never ceases to get old and his woe about his neglected birthday was an entertaining subplot. I don't see too much negativity in this episode; there was honestly nothing I could think of that was bad about it. It had Family Guy beat tonight, that's for sure.
  • I havent laughed so much in a half an hour in a while.

This episode of American Dad was halarious. It made me laugh so hard. The idea of Steve going into puberity was a great idea. It was crazy when Steve in the beginning was flashing his whole family because he got his first pubic hair. It was funny how Stan and Fracnine remember haily growing up threw puberty was halarious. Steve getting a shot by Francine was funny when Steve turned into a todler and Stan hopeing Steve would be 21 was even more funny turing Steve 80. I loved the end where Steve goes back to 14 and Roger pulls his pants down and he gets a swirlie.

You couldnt throw that much really great jokes with a great a and b story and not get a 10.
  • Steve becomes a baby, and then an old man.

This was a peculiar edition of American Dad where Steve was excited about getting his first pubic hair, but then his mother, fearing puberty, injected in a needle into his head making him a baby again. There were a few funny lines here, but this was not AD level. Roger was great here being excited about the party, embracing his inner-Stewie Griffin. Klaus was pretty pointless here. American Dad is usually superior to Family Guy, but tonight that was not the case. Drunk Roger was pretty funny though. He was responsible for saving this episode as this was an uncharacteristically unfunny edition of American Dad.
