Roger is rejected by Steve and starts spending time with a new kid, one who beats him up when things don't go his way. When Steve finds out the other boy attacks Roger, he tries to do something, but the boy swears he will go to the FBI and tell them about Roger being an alien if he does anything.

Good episode. I really liked the main plot in this. I thought the sub plot with Mr. Pibb was alright. It started off funny but got a little boring near the end. But Roger's plot, whilst not really hilarious, was better in terms of plot, so overall it was a good episode, one that gets a B+ as a grade from me.moreless
  • ROger finds a replacement Steve.

    7.5
    "Good"
Roger befriending a new kid in an ET spoof, mixed with an abusive relationship, isn't the most normal plot one would think of, but it was pretty funny, though it did seem to go on for too long and became predictable.

Keeping with the weird factor, Stan and Francine travel the country to keep their favourite soft drink alive, and through that crazy journey find out what they were really fighting for, their love.

Both these plots make fun of clichs, but of course this becomes a clich itself, and the episode is fairly funny throughout the episode, but not a very memorable one.moreless
  • Like Mr. Pibb, this episode goes down good!

Two things are happening on "American Dad!" and boy that episode goes down good. Satan and Francie go the Mr. Pibb factory and meet with the president of Mr. Pibb. speaking of Mr. Pibb, the nearby movie theatre where I live is selling Mr. Pibb. Next time I get a Mr. Pibb there, I'll think of Stan. How about a series of ads on Mr. Pibb and let American Dad pitch the product for televison. The Flintstones push Welch's products on their show. How about it? Meanwhile Roger made friends with a new companion who smacks him around and then apologized for what he did. Just like one of those Lifetime TV movies.moreless

    • Stan: Ah, Mr. Pibb. The cornerstone of our love. Delicious, refreshing, and totally lacking in portention!

    • Henry: You don't appreciate what I've done for you! I made you lieutenant! You were a cook when we started playing!

    • Roger: Oh, man, he's never gonna fall for this. Henry: Cool! A real spaceship. Roger: Then again, he is nine.

    • Steve: (About Roger) Why does he stay, Hayley?! Why does he stay? Hayley: Clearly, he's getting something from this kid he wasn't getting from you. When you have that kind of co-dependency, it can be hard to break free from an abusive relationship. Jeff: Can I come out of the pantry now, babe? Hayley: I said I'll get you when I'm ready! (Throws her coffee mug at him)

    • Hayley: What's wrong with you? You look horrible. Klaus: I've had this flu for, like, two weeks. I started to feel better on Tuesday, but then I pushed it and now I have this darker mucus and... Hayley: I was talking to Steve. Klaus: Are you sure you don't want to be a nurse, Hayley? You're so caring!

    • Steve: You sound just like Daphne Zuniga from that Lifetime movie, and you remember what happened to her. Roger: Oh, my God! She ended up on ABC Family! Well, I'm not going to let that happen to me.

    • Bob: Welcome to the Mr. Pibb Experience. Stan. Francine. Stan: Evening, Bob. You get the e-mail I sent you with different ideas for Pibb T-shirts? Bob: Yes, I deleted it immediately. Stan: (Laughs) Classic Bob.

    • Stan: I can't believe you're still upset. It's been a week. Francine: You called me a pig. Stan: I didn't say you were a pig. I said that dress made you look like a pig. And those shoes didn't help. All your fat, sweaty toes shoved in there like 20 Hondurans stuffed in a giant... shoe.

    • Steve: Chlorine, Bromine... crap! (Looks at book) Astatine! How could I forget? It has the words "teen" and "ass" in it.
