    Steve and the gang sabotage a stuck-up kid's bar mitzvah after he hits on Steve's girlfriend, Debbie. But when Snot gets wrongly accused of stealing the kid's bar mitzvah money, he must answer to the Rabbi and his own celebration is in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Stan and Francine pitch a cell phone idea to Verizon, but the plan gets fuzzy when they can't deliver the goods.

    Favorite parts:

    * Steve using the fart device.

    * Klaus owning a jelly bean phone

    * Steve falling down and then a picture of Roger hanging upside down.

    * Roger being a man at a bar.

    * Toshi knowing Roger as an alien.

    * Klaus wearing Nuh uh to the nuh huh shirt.

    * Snot thinking the stain looks like Mexican Elvis.

    * Another "TechnicalDifficulties"

    * Roger being the lawyer

    * Last part

    Least favorite parts/scenes that lower my score:

    * Overusing of Green Onions by Booker T. I don't really like this song that much. after what The Weather Channel overplayed it on the Local on the 8s segment.

    *Boring in a couple scenes

    Overall score: 9/10

    Steve is worried a Jewish kid named Etan Cohen is going to steal Debbie from him. So, he plans a heist to steal all of Etan's gifts at his Bar Mitzvah, to prove to Debbie he is immature because he figures Etan will care more about the gifts then anything else. Unfortunately, Steve's plan does not go over well when he uses Snot as a decoy and everyone thinks Snot stole the gifts.

    Good episode. I liked Roger's plan and I liked the revolution (to the audience) that Toshi knows who Roger is (an alien). I also liked Steve telling the rabbi the truth, knowing he would lose Debbie. Good episode all around, definitely giving it an A+ as my final grade.
  • it was an amzing episode of steve being the hitman, but cell phone thing was really BAD

    I really liked this episode, my faviourite par was when he had to find that guy at 8 pool - he was like a proper gansta and i wanna be just like that. Rodger and the chinease guys were the ones who actually made the plan work. Stan and francines cell phone plan, what... no HONESTLY what was that about... it made no sense. It was a really great episode with a well thought out plan and funny screaming jew kid. lol. Although, the chinease kid should be a ninja in every episode (dosent it make sense?) you cant tell me that it dosent!
  • Steve is dumped by Debby, after some tutti-frutti Jewish kid asks her to be her date to his Bahmitz Fa. So he is determed to get her back. This episode was really thought-out but the whole cell-phone thing was not needed

    Debby dosn't think Steve is mature enough to be her boy. so this really annoying, tutti-frutti Jew asks to be her date to his Ba-mitz-fa. So Steve comes up with a totally clever plan. I can't believe how well-thought out that plan was. Good Job Seth! So he steals his Ba-mitz fa cards that have money in them he sneaks them in Snot's coat pocket. but when he's caught, his bah-mitz-fa party is on thin ice. So, He confesses in court that he did it. Then Debby is mad at him. So is Snot. But he makes it up to him with the awesomest bah-mitz-fah Party. I have a Jewish friend that is also having a Bah-Mitz-fah so I wanted to learn more about it.

    bar mitzvah shuffle was a hillarious episode. at first, i did not appreciate american dad or even enjoyed it. but now, it is getting better than family guy and this episode contributed to that. i absolutely adored the heist scene jokes between the bar mitzvah trick scene. Roger and the japanese kid was the star of this episode. very underappreciated episode. one problem was the whole story between stan and francine s whole idea of the new phone contribution. the creators did not put much to that story, but it is always nice to put other characters into a very short and simple plot.

    overall, terrific american dad episode.

    This week has been a fairly good week for comedy, and American Dad! Avoids being a sore thumb by delivering a very decent Steve episode that a few will enjoy –such as myself- and others will lament –perhaps if you're more of a Roger fanatic-. However, despite the plot's heavy reliance on Steve and all his nerdy mannerisms, Bar Mitzvah Shuffle manages to combine a clever parody of several heist movies that feels sleek and evenly paced, all the while throwing in such brilliant gags derived from characters and brilliantly timed dialogue. The guest character Etan Cohen, a stuck up Jewish kid celebrating his Bar Mitzvah Sweet Sixteen style, is just as annoying and obnoxious as he should be, without losing his wonderfully comic edge cemented by Green's performance. All in all, a very enjoyable outing for the series, and fans of Nerd-wonder Steve won't be disappointed.
  • Funny how robot chicken was also parody oceans 12 too last night.

    it was an all right ep. he should of just kept to making it look like the presents were going to be stolen. then he would of gotten his girlfriend back and made the guy look like a loser. why did they even bother with the Stan cell phone side plot when they didn't do anything with it. also this ep felt really short it had like 4 commercial breaks. it was pretty cool of steve to sell all his junk throw a BAR MITZVAH for his friend. the part at the end with roger being in two different places was really weird to. the camera studio scenes and the please stand by scenes were kinda like filler.
  • Some funny moments.

    I must commend American Dad for having the modern Jewish person parodied down to a "t". Etan Cohen behaved exactly how the teenage kid from Brooklyn (I know that's not where they live) would act with the bluetooth and the accent. And you can't go wrong with Judd Hirsch as the voice of the Rabbi.

    But a lot of this episode was really peculiar. This was the second straight Steve dominated episodes, and his character is just a little bit too annoying to listen to for 22 minutes. Not a terrible episode, but it had really had no way to properly end it.
  • One of the most intricate episodes of the series, and with a very nice payoff too.

    This episode was a great example of how smart the series has become, in terms of its writing. Like 'Black Mystery Month' and 'The One That Got Away', this episode was able to create a tight elaborate plot and was able to throw quite a good bit of comedy into the mix as well. It starts out simple enough. An arrogant kid, but more mature then Steve is capable of wooing Steve's girlfriend. He then decides to get back at him in a Ocean's Eleven type plot invloving Toshi, Barry, and Roger. The plot was very well done and threw a few curveballs to the plot as well. As usual, Roger had his multiple personas in this one, many of which are very hilarious. The other story in this episode, which was barely noticable at all was Stan and Francine trying to pitch an idea to a phone company. It was a good idea and I realize the need for a B story, but the fact that it didn't even get a proper ending really kind of bugged me. Quite frankly I would have been fine without the story at all. A minor complaint, but it doesn't take away much of the strength of this episode.
