This was really becomes the family therapist called Dr Penguin but gets sent to Iraq by tries to be the therapist but the family say Dr Penguin is better and ends up causing major damage to the really wonderful storyline.
  • Disappointing yet not so bad.... it's good compared to how very weak most of the episodes this season are

Roger acts as the Smith family therapist under his "Dr. Penguin" alter-ego, but his services are put on hold when he is sent to Iraq to fight in the war. Klaus seizes his opportunity to be the go-to counselor of the household, but ends up causing a major ruckus. I thought that this was a great episode of "American Dad". Not the best episode of the season but it's FAR from being the worst of the season so it's all in all not so bad and it's quite enjoyable. The storyline was pretty decent to watch and I enjoyed the aspect of Klaus actually having a big role here. There a few problems with this episode that I did not like. First of all, I didn't like how the family was treating Klaus in this episode. Like seriously? we've seen the family give Klaus respect before but why are we all of a sudden seeing the family ignore and not care about Klaus?. Come on especially Stan, Klaus is like Stan's best goldfish buddy and he really didn't treat him right. Not only did I not like that but it didn't make sense either and I felt bad for Klaus. Second of all, I did not like how the family would listen to Roger's advices but they refuse to listen to Klaus... that part also made me feel bad for Klaus... like wow, the family in this episode were total SOB's to that poor goldfish. Third of all, I did not like the message in this episode about how lying is better to keep the family going because telling the truth will make things much worse. But yeah, other than those few problems that I mentioned... this episode was done pretty decently in an enjoyable way. Roger as the therapist named Mr. Penguin was hilarious to see. Some of the family's lies were hilarious but my favorite lie is Stan when he feeds Francine's food to the dogs in the ground because he hates Francine's cooking. There were some more mildly funny parts as well. I also liked how the family at the end of the episode when the family realized that Klaus is a man inside a fish's body and I'm glad how Klaus got respect at the end even though it really doesn't make sense. The most hilarious part in this episode are probably the scenes with Roger cleaning the toilet in Iraq while the soldiers are at war. Overall, a greatly decent written episode of "American Dad"... it might not be the season's best but at least it's a good enough episode to watch again. 8/10moreless

A lot of good lines in this episode, but also a very enjoyable premise as we saw the lies continue to unravel among this family. Not crazy about Klaus having a big role, but he was serviceable today, so I did not mind. Solid, but with American Dad you usually expect a bit more.
  • Klaus finally gets the respect he deserves

I knew that I'll like this episode because Klaus is my favorite character. I feel bad for Klaus because he doesn't get the respect that a man in a fish's body deserves. The family can be very mean to him and say stuff like 'shut up fish!" I know I'll feel awful if my family treats me like crap. This was kind of like how Meg from Family Guy complained to her family that they should treat her better, but this one was better in my opinion. I liked how the Smiths finally opened their eyes to how poorly they treated him and that he's not just a fish, that he is in fact a man in a fish's body. I liked that in this episode he finally got the respect he so badly deserved.moreless
