  • Good for an episode about Francine

    4.0
Francine is a good character, but it is difficult to generate enough humor from her to make a humorous episode. The story is set up well; Francine leads a rather monotonous life that is oriented around everyone else. Roger lethally gassing the house wasn't very funny, but the story picks up a bit when the family moves into a hotel while the house is cleaned. Francine, having much more free time on her hands, attends a convention and becomes a new person, and it leads to a more interesting life. But in the end, it is not interesting enough for her, and it's really not interesting enough to make a great episode.

Steve's side story really doesn't go anywhere, but Stan's inability to match socks to a suit was funny. Overall, there are some laughs to be had, and although the story isn't very funny, it never gets too dull, either. So, it's not necessarily an episode to skip over.moreless

  • a step back from the last one

    7.5
this weeks episode was a step back from the last one for whom the sleigh bells toll but it was good. heres what happenes in this episode of american dad Francine's daily routine starts to get to her when the family complains about dinner on the wrong day. After a cutscene of Francine killing the family, they are then convinced that eating it would be for the best. Roger has a lethal reaction to the food and releases a lethal gas during the middle of the night, prompting the family to leave their residence and stay at a hotel for a week. Attempting to start a new life there, as well as leaving her family in the process, Francine takes on a new persona, assuming the alias of Sarah Blanche. the plot to this episode was good but it wasnt that funny there was funny parts but not enough.moreless

Well its dinner time and francine makes dinner but roger says hell get bad gas from what she makes but roger eats it anyway and he gets bad gas and forces the smith family to evacuate the house so in the mean time they go to a hotel. I thought this was a good episode it was good the plot with francine was good and same with steve however there wasnt too many laughs it seems like they forgot about the jokes but still good. oveall this was good but probably the weakest episode this season. . . . .moreless

Okay, not as bad an episode as Family Guy tonight, American Dad can hold its head up on that, but this was not a good show, and in the new timeslot of 7:30 PM they are going to have to fight to keep viewers to avoid cancellation. The idea of fart humor on this show being such an integral part of the storyline disappoints me, but there were still some good gags here including veteran actor Hector Elizondo randomly showing up and being a pervert, and the idea of Francine doing nothing but serving food to her family (my mom would like that visual.)

Not a bad episode, but I can't really find too much to praise about it.moreless
