  • Christmas review 18: Best American Dad Christmas episode

    9.5
    "Superb"
IMO, this has to be the best Christmas American Dad episode. Despite the intense use of violence (which bothers me 40% of the time), I really enjoyed the plot. It is about Stan getting Steve a gun yet his wife warns him not to. However, Steve accidentally kills a Mall Santa. I wished I saw this episode again. My score is 5 points from a 10 because a couple parts were a bit boring and that's kinda ruin the score so that I give a Christmas episode a 10. Jeff's part was very funny in this episode and yet Stan still have against with him. Steve killing Santa was kinda funny. Roger's plot was funny as well when he was working for that hillbilly. Also, that Donkey Kong parody was very funny. Most video games parodies always make me laugh. The last 10 minutes were interesting. Overall an almost perfect Christmas episode of American Dad. Overall score is 9.5/10.

Stan gives Steve a gun for Christmas, even though Francine warns him that Steve is too young. As usual, Stan ignores her, and when Steve accidentally shoots Santa, he sends the North Pole into a tizzy and jeopardizes Christmas.

American Dad and Family Guy both had Christmas specials here tonight, but Dad produced the better one and there is no debate about that. We had a killer, vindictive Santa Claus coming after Stan and his family tonight, and we also had a nice moral ending about the importance of family and sticking together....but it was mostly the nonsensical, irreverent dialogue and humor plaguing this episode that I personally enjoyed. The way American Dad succeeds in creating ridiculous things and somehow making them work never ceases to amaze me. You might not think a killer Santa would be good, but this was.

Stan buys Steve a gun for Christmas despite Francine thinking he is too young and it is dangerous. Turns out it is dangerous when Steve shoots Santa, who exacts revenge by murdering, or attempting to murder, the Smiths before Christmas is over. Will the Smiths survive, or is this Christmas going to be their last?

Good episode. It was not that funny but the plot was unique and creative and well-done, I thought so anyway. Not the best episode ever of course, but it was a nice, enjoyable way to spend a half hour of your time. Recommend for fans of the show. So my final grade is in the C+/B- range. Good but not great
  • The NRA's really gonna love this one...

    9.5
    "Superb"
Boy, I hope the NRA can take a joke, because the writers of American Dad really took the gloves off tackling the subject of what happens when morons give and receive assault rifles as presents during the Christmas season. The result was one of the funniest and most perverse American Dad's ever made...an instant classic! Family ties grow strong and Stan finally manages to bond with his hated twerp son in law amid the bloody elf carnage and the bullet torn bodies of reindeer falling from the skies as a murderous Santa Claus seeks demonic revenge against the Smith family for being machine-gunned with an AK-47 in a moment of carelessness. I'm gonna make sure this episode is in my permanent collection. Bwahahahahahaaaa....
  • steve gets a gun for chrismas

    "Great"
This is the third chrismas episode of american dad and this episode wasnt as good as the other two but it was still great. Heres a summary for, ''For Whom the Sleigh Bell Tolls'', Stan gives Steve a gun for Christmas, even though Francine warns him that Steve is too young. As usual, Stan ignores her, and when Steve accidentally shoots Santa, he sends the North Pole into a tizzy and jeopardizes Christmas. I thought this was a great episode of american dad, alot of crazy things happened here like elves getting killed.

i really thought this episode was freakin hilarious from start to finish. it was a really good plot with rodger trying to get super drunk for the holidays. I liked when he jumped in slow motion and slapped that guy who was getting in there way lol. i liked the part when stan finally let jeff in the family, that was a nice ending to it! I think that american dad is crazy dis-functional and it will always be. thats how it is so funny, stan never listens to his wife a whole bunch of times and every episode it is different and funny

  • As Francine once said, "Nothing bonds a family like a dark, horrible secret..." (S3E1, excellent episode.) The Smiths (the six bipedals) are once again forced to work together when Stan's decision to give Steve an AK47 leads to an awful mistake.

Metal, an intense battle sequence, and a heart-warming conclusion to the episode. Do we really need anything else ? This episode exemplifies why I watch American Dad! :: There are no moments of useless filler and no characters (okay maybe poor Klaus) who take a back-shelf, Chris Griffin type role. The critical incident that sparks the episode was a tad unexpected and early, but the rest of the episode flowed like the blood from a thousand elves' bullet-ridden corpses. After watching the three Animation Domination X-Mas specials, there is no doubt that this is the clear winner. American Dad!, thank you for another great X-Mas episode.

    Merry Wednesday!
