It was a tv guide article. If it goes, let it go out in style. It had a great run.

^Do these articles tend to have any basis in fact? There is definitely a Season 8 coming, because the production titles have been released. The real question I'm pondering is....why would they cancel it?! It is by far the best show in the Sunday night line up!

I find it troubling that you would post both this and this thread without any links to back them up.

Does the guy who wrote this have any real connection to these stations, or is he only speculating? He doesn't have any solid proof about what he's saying....the fact that American Dad! has been moved around could be proof, but not necessarily. Besides, Fox makes a fortune off of its syndication.....I honestly don't see why people write articles like that. All it does is get fans worked up, like us and those who really want Fringe to come back. Sure, I understand that Fox wants to keep the line-up from getting stale...but to many viewers, AD! is one of the reasons it isn't stale. Even though some of the other shows haven't been around for nearly as long as AD! has, I still think this show should get precedence over them. FG and the Simpsons have been around for a long time, and no one is threatening to pull the plug on them. I'm not going to worry too much for now.....the ratings for this show should stay good, anyway.

"There are rumblings that Fox is ready to pull the plug on the animated American Dad"

That's it? That's all the info?

It's obvious Fox doesn't watch the shows they put on the air because it's clearly the strongest & most consistent of Seth's 'toons. If anything, the Cleveland show or Napoleon Dynamite should be up for cancellation. Hell if the show wasn't called "Family Guy" it most definitely be up for cancellation.

^That was my point. He had no REAL proof to support his statement. The "rumblings" come when AD is wrongfully moved around on the schedule....and I agree with you on which shows should be cancelled.

You know, knowing how Fox is, they'll keep American Dad on probably for another 4 to 7 years even with poor numbers, solely because it's familiar & they really have nothing better to replace it with. Hell, King of the Hill went for 13 seasons (THIRTEEN!) and that show basically flew under the radar & was nowhere as near as popular nor did it ever get much advertising by Fox & burned through its episodes on the post-NFL 7:30pm/6:30pm slot.

I really don't think Fox even cares at this point. They're just trying to soup up their syndication packages more than anything.
