Overall, a perfect episode of american dad that gets a 10 out of 10moreless

What I liked: the return of Jack, Stan finally learning how to ride a bike, Jack kicking Stan and Stan kicking Steve at the end, the whole Roger/Haley plot, amongst other things.

Good episode. Jack is a great character and I liked this episode better than his first appearance in Con Heir. I liked the whole episode. Roger/Haley plot was a wee bit boring but it did have some good parts, like the kid Roger thought was made up being real and taking the TV, and the end of it. So overall my final grade is an A+, which I think is fair for this episode.moreless

As Easy As Riding a Bike

2009 has been a decent year for Family Guy's misunderstood brethren American Dad!, and yet over the past few weeks, a slight decline has been eating away at the good that came before. Jack's Back indeed sees the return of one of the series' guest characters in the form of Stan's neglectful father, and it's a story that never quite takes off. Throughout we get plenty of jokes at Stan's expense derived from the seemingly potent psychological recession that he undergoes at the mere mention of his father's name, and while some of these jokes work-quite a lot fail to make an impression.

The side-plot however, is even worse. By now I've almost given up entirely on the character of Roger and his wacky costumed antics-not only does it negate the entire basis of his character, but the stories are simply too overblown and flamboyant to derive any sort of laughter. That being said, there have been a few good moments from him over the past few months, but Jack's Back sees the series revert to tired gags and costume/wig humour.

Overall, not a bad episode, but certainly not a great one either; sporadically comical but largely forgettable.moreless

This is even better then Coin Heir the first episode with Stan's father.

This episode is extremely funny and it had 2 equally amazing storylines and it was great to see Stan's father again. Also some hillarious parts are when Roger drew pictures of everything and the seven year old that always watches Nickelodeon part was really funny and it was even funnier when Roger finds out that the kid really exists. Also it was hillarious when Jack said what that guy was going to do to him and then Stan said right in front of the kid and it was really funny when that guy threatens Steve and the guy apoligizes and says that he is so bad at introductions and he introduces himself. Also I cracked up when Stan couldn't stop the bike and said quick move the building and it was really funny when Steve, Jack, and Stan went camping and then Steve was catching a fish and said what do I do and Stan started shooting at the fish. Overall this episode is withn my top 5 and this was so much better then The Juice Is Loose the family Guy episode that aired the same night as this.moreless

very underappreciated episode.... what a shame

jack is back is about stan s dad, jack, coming back out of prison for a short while. he visits stan s house and starts to bond with steve. stan is still unhappy that his father never teached him how to ride a bike.it might not sound much. But as the episode goes on, an absolute terrific episode. jack is back has all its twenty one minutes in superb detail and setting. how good can this episode get !!! Another fantastic episode that beats family guy s new episode down to the soil of the ground. Jack is back is a highly recommended episode

overall, as i said before, highly recommended.
