Steve signs Stan up for a father-son bike tournament, but the plan veers off-track when Stan admits that his father never taught him how to ride a bike. Determined to make things better, Steve helps reconcile Stan with his convict father. Meanwhile, Hayley needs internship credit for school, so Roger hires her to bartend at his makeshift bar in the attic.

Overall, a perfect episode of american dad that gets a 10 out of 10

What I liked: the return of Jack, Stan finally learning how to ride a bike, Jack kicking Stan and Stan kicking Steve at the end, the whole Roger/Haley plot, amongst other things.

Good episode. Jack is a great character and I liked this episode better than his first appearance in Con Heir. I liked the whole episode. Roger/Haley plot was a wee bit boring but it did have some good parts, like the kid Roger thought was made up being real and taking the TV, and the end of it. So overall my final grade is an A+, which I think is fair for this episode.

2009 has been a decent year for Family Guy's misunderstood brethren American Dad!, and yet over the past few weeks, a slight decline has been eating away at the good that came before. Jack's Back indeed sees the return of one of the series' guest characters in the form of Stan's neglectful father, and it's a story that never quite takes off. Throughout we get plenty of jokes at Stan's expense derived from the seemingly potent psychological recession that he undergoes at the mere mention of his father's name, and while some of these jokes work-quite a lot fail to make an impression.

The side-plot however, is even worse. By now I've almost given up entirely on the character of Roger and his wacky costumed antics-not only does it negate the entire basis of his character, but the stories are simply too overblown and flamboyant to derive any sort of laughter. That being said, there have been a few good moments from him over the past few months, but Jack's Back sees the series revert to tired gags and costume/wig humour.

Overall, not a bad episode, but certainly not a great one either; sporadically comical but largely forgettable.
  • This is even better then Coin Heir the first episode with Stan's father.

This episode is extremely funny and it had 2 equally amazing storylines and it was great to see Stan's father again. Also some hillarious parts are when Roger drew pictures of everything and the seven year old that always watches Nickelodeon part was really funny and it was even funnier when Roger finds out that the kid really exists. Also it was hillarious when Jack said what that guy was going to do to him and then Stan said right in front of the kid and it was really funny when that guy threatens Steve and the guy apoligizes and says that he is so bad at introductions and he introduces himself. Also I cracked up when Stan couldn't stop the bike and said quick move the building and it was really funny when Steve, Jack, and Stan went camping and then Steve was catching a fish and said what do I do and Stan started shooting at the fish. Overall this episode is withn my top 5 and this was so much better then The Juice Is Loose the family Guy episode that aired the same night as this.

jack is back is about stan s dad, jack, coming back out of prison for a short while. he visits stan s house and starts to bond with steve. stan is still unhappy that his father never teached him how to ride a bike.it might not sound much. But as the episode goes on, an absolute terrific episode. jack is back has all its twenty one minutes in superb detail and setting. how good can this episode get !!! Another fantastic episode that beats family guy s new episode down to the soil of the ground. Jack is back is a highly recommended episode

overall, as i said before, highly recommended.

The fight between roger and haley was possibly the most amazing writing in a long time. I agree with alot of people about it having bugs bunny quality. The fake murder scene on paper and the security camera on were good gags. It was also nice to see Stan reconcile with his father. heck it was nice to actually see his father since he's been mentioned alot but never seen so much as a photo. I also like how his dad fixed his bike very touching moment. This was definately the best episode ever. They should of aired this as a season finale.

When American Dad first came on the air I thought it was a decent show, though not quite living up to the high bar that Family Guy originally set. These days however, while Family Guy continues to rely on jokes that are really hit and miss, American Dad seems to keep getting better and better and this episode was no exception.

There were two stories to this episode. Steve wants his dad to enter the father-son biknig contest, only to leater find out that Stan can't ride a bike because his father never taught him how. In an attempt to get Stan to talk to his father, Steve tricks his dad (accompanied by a very great tag joke) into going to the prison where he is being held.

The Smith family made bail for Jack by request of Steve and the family goes home. Stan doesn't believe that his father has changed and we soon learn that he hasn't. Im not so sure what Steve sees in his role-models but he had no problem believing everything his grandpa told him, (wearing a makeshift eye patch himself). Eventually Jack turns himself in after he realizes that he can't turn Steve away from his father. Steve tells his dad what happened and as luck would have it, his only means to get to the couthouse is his bike. The other story dealt with Hayley interning at Roger's Bar. How he ever got a buisness license is beyond me, but it worked well. Roger wanted Hayley to do all kinds of weird things. So Hayley dressed up as someone who threatened to shut Roger's buisness down if he didn't treat Hayley better. Roger then decided to have this persona killed, (in the most stupid way possible, but still very hilarious). It led to a costume battle royal between the two which actually worked out very well. This show continues to succeed every week

It was another Stan centric episode but with a nice balance of screen time for the other charecters. The return of Stans Dad was much welcomed, and how it played out was fun to watch.

Like normal all the top funny moments of this episode

belong to Rodger. His pairing with Haley also gave us a chance to see her playful and cunning side without the politics or hippie rantings.

A big pat on the back for the writers for an ending I didn't see coming. Even though I knew Stan would come off the bike, it didn't happen how I predicted, nor did Jack's depature. The ending did lack a coda almost finishing on a loose end, but as much as I don't like these sharp endings they have become very common in animated comedy, so so what! All in all a worthwhile 20 minutes for the fans.

Really good episode of American Dad tonight. Stan was simply hilarious with some Peter Griffin like jokes, and just some generally funny ones as well. In fact the whole cast had me laughing at various points. I still am not a fan of these outrageous Roger storylines as of late, but the "imaginary" seven year old boy who constantly watches Nickelodeon was great.

I nearly lost it when Stan couldn't stop his bike and shouted, "Quick move the building!"

Family Guy was decent this week, but American Dad produced one of its best this season. Good night of Animation Domination on FOX.
