  • An excellent and funny episode

When Roger and Francine go wine-tasting, Roger plants a big kiss on Francine in a drunken moment. Francine decides to tell Stan about this incident, but when they sit down to talk, Roger convinces Stan that Francine started it all. I thought this was an excellent episode. I thought the plot was going suck at first, since it's weird, but it was better than expected and was handled very well. I got huge laughs in this episode. The parts that made me laugh were the beginning, Steve dreaming, Steve talking about his dream to Klaus, Francine and Roger hanging out, Roger kissing Francine, Hayley and Klaus thinking to themselves, "does smoker producer smokey? no it does not," Hayley asking Snot for a date, "We're getting away from this," Francine trying to tell Stan what happened last night, but Roger gets in the way, Roger burying Francine, Roger trying to get Francine Sun Chips, Steve flying to the window, Roger burying Stan, Stan beating up Roger, and the very ending. Overall, a hilarious episode of American Dad. 10/10moreless

    SUPERB!
  • Merlot Down Dirty Shame. You know, this might just be the best episode of American Dad I have ever seen. And that's, of course, thanks to a brilliant main plot and a hilarious B plot.moreless

This was all kinds of hilariousness, if not downright brilliant. What would this show become without Roger? Probably The Cleveland show, since that's the most boring adult cartoon I have ever seen. Granted, I've only seen the pilot so can't judge much of it but what I will say is that I was really disappointed with Seth for putting that crap on the air. And its ratings are actually much better. Sigh. Such a pity, since American Dad is the best animation on Fox and gets the lowest ratings out of the four. This episode was so much better than the fourteenth episode, which was pretty damn funny, and that is b/c of the B plot. Do you remember the 14th episode's B plot? No, me neither. But this time, oh man, they stepped up and did a hilarious subplot, that even included Klaus. Roger and Stan, after being stuck in an elevator and fearing for their lives, become BFFs, going as far as buying identical hi5 pendants. Thus, after several months, Stan sends Roger with Francine to a wine tasting town, when it was supposed to be a romantic getaway for the two of them. After getting drunk off their asses, Roger and Francine go back to the hotel for the night and all of a sudden Roger kisses Francine, accidentally or not.

Thanks to the way Roger's character has been established over the course of the seasons, he can do absolutely anything, and it will be in acceptable parameters for him. That's why he's my favorite Seth character, outshining even Stewie. And I loved Stewie, you know he was legendary, but he's just too ordinary these days. If Seth made him gay then he should have just kept him that way and expand on that notion.

So Roger being the way he is should not really surprise anyone when, in order to hamper Francine from telling Stan the truth, he goes from tactic to tactic, each one growing gradually in quality and hilarity until he eventually buries her. Granted, he stuck a pipe in the tomb for air and food. When she finally comes out of there, Roger tells Stan a distorted truth in such a way that Francine comes out to be the one that kissed Roger and not the other way around. Because Stan is so upset and starts thinking about divorce and also losing the house, thus no more attic for the alien, Roger realizes the gravity of what he did and in the end, he tells Stan the actual truth. But this is Roger we're talking about so don't think for a second that he didn't hit Stan with a pipe or utensil of from sort and didn't bury him the same way he did with Francine.

Meanwhile, in the B plot, Steve has taught himself lucid dreaming in such a way that when a red ball passes he immediately knows that he has full control of his dream. Annoyed by Steve's behavior, Hailey and Klaus decide to trick him into thinking he's lucid dreaming by rolling a red ball past him. However, this trick takes a sick and nasty turn as Hailey finds herself in the car the same time her little brother starts jacking off and also Steve almost kills a girl when he thinks he's able to fly. I just adored this episode. Probably the best laugh riot I have ever had thx to an American Dad episode.moreless

Another great one tonight from American Dad. The three minutes or so with Roger and Francine drunk was among the greatest I have ever seen on this show. They just captured the essence of drunk behavior and drunk dialogue so well and it just had me lizzing while watching it.

Sometimes American Dad can be too smart for its own good with jokes that go over the head of the average viewer, but tonight was an episode that everyone could enjoy. A simple story of betrayal, and some of the always great bickering between Roger and Stan.

Two thumbs up for this epiosde from me.moreless
  • Another Great Episode.

I'm really geting to like American Dad, and this and last week's episodes are the reason why. It all begins when Roger saves Stan's life for the fourth time. As a result, the two become best friends, and Stan gives him a friendship bracelet out of gratitude.Roger then betrays Stan by giving Francine a drunken kiss while they go on a trip to wine country together. He then trys to keep it from Stan by burying her alive, but when she escapes, he tells Stan that she kissed him. When Stan tells Roger that this could lead to divorce with him selling the house, thus leaving Roger homeless, Roger confess and then buries Stan alive to avoid his wrath. Stan soon beats the hell out of him, and give his friendship bracelet to Francine.

A hilarious episode where Roger gets his comupence. They should have that more often.moreless
