When Francine discovers Stan's secret, decades-old passion for competitive figure skating, she decides to be supportive and becomes his pairs partner until Stan's competitive nature gets the best of him and he ditches her for a new partner. Meanwhile, Steve's classmate Snot finds new respect among his peers when he parades his mail-order bride around the playground.

Overall, an okay episode, Steve's plot was better.

    Overall a 9 out of 10

This episode had so many funny moments- Klaus being a grandfather, the kid being more interested in him as a fish, the ending of the episode, "whenever you interrupt someone your penis gets a little shorter", Francine's "I'm your wife, when something is wrong I want to help", and Stan's "Oh, so by that logic, when something is wrong, you want to hinder me?" Great episode in terms of humor, especially in the first half. The second half got a little boring for me, but it is still overall a really funny and creative episode. B+ or so as my grade. Too bad the second half got a little boring or this could have been my favorite episode of the series. Still really decent.
  • Stan has a winter secret

Klaus retelling the skating event is by far the best part of the episode, with so many hilarious moments such as the kid more curious about how Klaus was a fish and how he continued talking when viewers have a bathroom break and is so funny, despite the fact that Klaus isn’t one of my favourite characters.

Stan’s secret was very funny when it was revealed that he is a skater and the whole plot works very well with his obsession with winning and Roger’s surprising skill and Francine’s skill coming from rage.

The fact that Klaus is also telling an unrelated story about a mail order bride is very funny as is the plot itself, with Hailey ruining it for the guys when the girl realises she’s not a mail order whore.

Overall, this episode is very entertaining and one of the best plotted episodes of American Dad.
  • Stan continues to surprise us all. "Ice skating, who'd have thought it".

Fine example of American Dad, a flash back episode as told by Claus who was restored to a human body. New ideas and good laugh out loud jokes. Roger finally gave us some more info bout his home plant, a professional skater who'll do anything for a prize, classic. American Dad still continues to entertain myself and i'm sure everyone else who watches.

Keep them coming Seth & the gang.
  • A big surprise : Stan's passion

Francine dicovers Stan's passion for figure skating that he had for decades. She decided to support him and becomes his partner. Than, Stan's competitive nature makes him choose Roger for partner instead of Francine. Meanwhile, Steve's friend orders a Russian Bride to make one of the boys marry her. That's a nice episode. Very surprising to see Stan's passion for figure skating. I would never think that before seeing this episode. The story around Steve and his friends is still funny. Nice binocular LoL. So, that was a very original and surprising episode. Probably in my top 10 of the series.
  • A well-written character driven episode introduced in an interesting way.

I really enjoyed this episode. I think it's always good when they step back a bit from Stan being the over-the-top republican CIA man and develop the character a little. Telling the story through Roger was also a nice touch that worked well. It seem that in order to fit everything in they must've cut a sizeable chunk of the B-plot with the mail order bride, and that side-story does suffer as a result of it. But who knows, maybe the mail order bride will be around for a few episodes?
  • Ice, ice Stan.

Stan doesn't want to tell Francie, but shw has found out that likes to Ice dance. Stan and Francie enter into a ice skating contest, until she was dumped. Seeing those two skate up the arena is fun.Seeing them dance to background top 40 songs is a gas. It's one of the best episode of the season. This one is a winner. I'll give it a 8.0. But I can't go any farther. That plotline about a mail-order bride being ordered by Snot, wasn't good. But overall, I like the episode. Seeing them stakedance is fun. The mail-order bride needs improvements.
  • Figure skating, eh?

This was not a great episode. In fact, it was rather mediocre. What happened is that somebody came up with a decent concept for this episode, and then they did not know how to follow through. Klaus revealing that he was once a fish, and shrugging it off was great. The part where Klaus reveals that he was still telling the story while the grandson was using the bathroom was funny too. In fact, any time the story did not focus on Stan and Roger it was hilarious! Unfortunately, the episode felt bound to follow the unfunny storyline and made it feel boring. Next time they need more of the mail order bride and Klaus and his grandson arguing, as that is where the comedy gold lies.
