When Stan forgets to pick up grenadine at the grocery store, Roger goes ballistic and vows to get him back by taking over a project close to Stan's heart - the Homeowner's Association. When Roy Rogers McFreely is appointed chairman of the association and starts to abuse his power, Stan, Hayley and Steve lead the opposition to preserve the small town's "American" values and take the community back from "the man."

Overall, this is a great addition to American Dad so this gets an 8.5 out of 10.moreless
  • Stan has to fight the man!

    7.0
I am among the minority (although that figure is rapidly expanding) that believes American Dad is superior to Family Guy. It certainly was better again tonight, but sometimes you have to wonder how the episodes get put on the air the way they are.

For every funny Stan or Roger line there was a plethora of bizarre references and weird, borderline offensive racial slurs. Family Guy needs a consultant who can deem what viewers like and dislike because as crazy as it seems everything Seth MacFarlane comes up with is not funny. This episode certainly had its enjoyable moments, but not one of the better ones and I have a feeling it will have very little replay value.moreless
  • American Dad does pulls of another great episode were half a dozen charecters shine.

    8.5
American Dad again felt fresh and fully formed, and We saw a long list of chrecters get focus and memorable moment. For the first time it really felt as if American Dad had solid nieghbourhood charecters with those who reoccur now feeling cemented and welcomed. Greg And Terry always provide a laugh and they do again. Haley and stan as a different duo also make for a great laugh, and the father daughter moments are a very different approch to doing this kind of bonding story. But as usual the gold medal goes to Roger who really did shine in this episode. The one liners and tone of voice are always immensly funny as is his petty grand schemes to get what he wants, which is of course the drive in the story.

I have been consistantly pleased with American Dad this season. Episodes continue to be diverse in topics structure and charecter focus and combinations. This episode carrys on this trend and again outperforms it's sister show Family Guy.moreless
  • Another amazing season 4 episode.

    10
American Dad is just fantastic right now. Season 4 keeps producing favorites for me and this is oe of them and it was hillarious when Stan showed a clip of what an above ground could dangerously do and it killed a girl in the clip. Also it was hillarious when Stan an entire thing of and couldn't stop throwing up. Both Stan and Roger were hillarious in this episode. It was funny when Steve and Stan were zombie dancing and it was hillarious when klaus talked to Francine and she pushed his bowl and said humans are talking and then after everyone was done talking Kaus said i'm dieing and Stan said shutup was hillarious. Both Family Guy and American Dad were great but this was better then Family Gay thev episode that aired on the same night as this.moreless

roy rogers mcfreely was a huge and wide episode. it had so much potential this episode was like south park s overlogging. i loved roger with his roy rogers mcfreely with his jackass jokes. and the ending where they vandalise property and they set revenge to roy rogers and then he and his team attack hayley, stan, steve and others was an instant classic. i loved every part of this episode. deserves much higher than 8 out of 10. maybe 8.9 out of 10 please ????? when i first watching this episode i was not really excited because of its poor marks... but later on it was really enjoying .
