Stan's Night Out is probably one of the better episodes (if not the best so far) of American Dad so far. Its got a lot of funny albeit vulgar jokes, but I think its nothing the teen/young adult audience can't handle. There are some moments in this episode that is just cleverly written. The parts of the episode with the lawnmower is what got me laughing the most.

Unlike Family Guy, American Dad is consistently been staying pretty good or even improving over time. I just hope this show gets the attention it deserves. If you really didn't enjoy this episode and wrote a negative FAN review about it, you're not really a fan then.

Stan leaves Francine at home to go out with the boys, but guys' night out goes from wild to reckless when Stan finds himself in one compromising situation after another. Meanwhile, Roger and Hayley use their charm and looks to attract a frat boy.
Overall, this was great, and the 3 guys in the trunk were the best part of this episode.

Stan has a night out with the guys, but things get complicated when Dick knocks one out and locks him in the trunk of his car. Then, Stan tries to get the guy to a hospital, but is pulled over, and so the cop is then placed in a car. Things keep getting worse and all Stan wants is the night to be over.

Good episode. It got a little boring in parts but overall it was really good. The sub plot with the 'pig party' was great and I liked Roger ending up bringing Haley to the party. And Stan eventually setting things right. Great season finale, and as such, gets an A+ from me.
  • Tied for my all time favorite season finale.

This was such a great idea to have Stan hanging out with his CIA buddies and some hillarious parts are when Stan and his friends where at this Chinese place and Stan was so excited he started dancing and a kid started dancing next to Stan and the kid's dad screamed at him and when Stan like now Biscuit and Bicuit jumps in slow motion and she jumped in slow motion and completely missed and hit the wall. Also it was hillarious when Roger mocked Haley and said no one is asking me out because your my man date. Also I liked the Stan and his friend's storyline better then Rogerv and Haley's and at the part where they go to the crime lord's hideout I was hoping for some gun fights and more action but the episode still rocked. Overall an episode in my top 5.
  • Animation Domination or Animation Decimation?

This episode of American Dad was only slightly more interesting than this week's finale of Family Guy. Fox's Animation Domination was one of my T.V. highlights of the week, now it appears to be sliding into what I would call Animation Decimation, and a good excuse to turn off the lobotomy box and catch up on my reading. Stan's Night Out was just plain weak. I still say there may be more fresh material in exploring Roger's home world for next season. How about an alien exchange episode where Stan and family are treated to a vacation on Roger's home world, and are treated to complimentary butt probes on the way over to Zeta 2 reticulum, or wherever it is Roger comes from. Might liven up the next American Dad season, if there is one.
  • Stan! How explosive!

A bit of a stinker this week as we see the show invest a little too much in its dark underbelly of a plot and forget about striking up real laughs and keeping the characters consistent. This time focusing on a night out with his work buddies, Stan finds himself in the midst of a rather dodgy and high-octane night that has him on edge rather than enjoying himself like he thought. The whole ordeal, which plays out a whole lot more awkwardly and darker than is the standard for the show, can be comical at times yet too often falls flat because of the intense, unpleasant plot. The side-story is a bit of a clunker too with Hailey and Roger competing for male attention at the mall etc. etc. Overall, not bad, but certainly nothing remarkable considering some of the gems we've had in season four; a mediocre ending to a fairly stellar year for American Dad.
  • Stan goes out with the guys.

Wow, what an awesome episode. A fun thrill ride of non-stop laughs and clever jabs (a funny take on Barney's "Suit up!" line from How I Met Your Mother, and of course the discussion of 30 Rock in the trunk). This fast-paced episode showed just how great American Dad can be when it wants to be, and how much wittier the dialogue is compared to its 9:00 P.M. counterpart Family Guy.

The Roger and Hayley storyline was pretty forgettable, but all of the scenes with Stan and the CIA guys were top-notch comedy. Couple that in with a lack of Steve and Klaus and this had the makings for an epic episode. Without a doubt one of Season 4's top episodes.
