Another hilarious episode of American Dad here, and I really hope that this show gets renewed for another year. There are some shows where I get upset when they get canceled, but I learn to deal with it, but I do not know what I would do without my weekly dose of Stan's nonsense. Him liking jury duty was just so Stan and the way everything turned around him in the end was just utter brilliance. I also love how they randomly have the JB Smoove-voiced character receive disturbing picture messages from Stan. Just another thing this show does well: random humor.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Juror number 3 in Martin Sugar's trial is the same guy that used to work at Best Buy, then applied to work for Stan, making Celebeartions, in Season 2 Episode 11 "American Dream Factory."

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Francine: Look, it's not even my rule; it's your Dad's. You think I wouldn't want to spark up a dubber every now and again? (drifts off, contently) Just take a nice, slow, extra-careful drive?
      Hayley: But, Mom....
Jeff: (to Hayley) It's ok, Hayley. I can handle it. I mean, weeds the thing I care about the most...but...maybe that should be you.
      (Hayley sighs)
      Francine: Thanks, Jeff!
(slumps over, frustrated) MAN! You got me thinkin' about weed now. That stuff makes me want to drink so much soda! (looks off, content) I smoke a bone, then I drink a two liter of Sunkist in like a second... freaks people out...
(loudly takes a long sip of coffee while Jeff and Hayley stare, silently)

    • Stan: And the number one dog on my fictitious dog list is Brian Griffin.
Brian: Uh, do I know you?
Stan: Stop pretending I don't exist!

    • Juror: Hey, it's me. I'm gonna be late. Can you TiVo Ass Rangers 4 for me? Thanks, hon. Now, put mommy on the phone.

    • Jeff: I'm sorry. But when I'm not smoking pot, I suffer from HLS, Hyperactive Libido Syndrome. When it hits I gotta get busy right away.
Francine: If you're gonna do that in this house, you'll do it where everyone else in this family does it, in Steve's bed.
      Steve: (from his bedroom) What?!

  • NOTES (2)

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • The Marshall that Stan knocks unconscious is drawn like Tommy Lee Jones' character of the Marshall in the movie The Fugitive. Even the bus crash of prisoners is the way Harrison Ford's character escapes in the movie like Roger in this episode.

    • The bloodhound Stan uses to find Roger uses the same computer screen used in Minority Report. The music used during that scene is the same, Schubert's Symphony no. 8.
