  • Superb episode of American Dad

    "Superb"
When Steve tries to prove himself as a macho man to Stan, he follows in Roger's footsteps and tries to change himself from the outside in with a superhero persona. Meanwhile, Francine is going through an identity crisis of her own when she receives surprising news that could change the family forever. I thought this was a superb episode. It was enjoyable for most of the part and I'm glad I got a recent AD episode a score with a 8.5 higher. I've had getting average score for this season. So far, there had been no perfect episodes which was a disappointing. Hot Water could have be given a 10 if weren't that awful ending and then I would had a perfect season 7 episode of this show. Anyway, back to this episode. The only thing kept my score from a 10 is the middle act was kinda boring. Also, that maybe baby joke was getting annoying and repetitive. Francine's plot was kinda interesting, but not much humor. I only laughed Steve was at the restroom and then Francine kicked him out. As for the brave plot, I liked/laughed the beginning, Roger as the brave man, Steve saving the baby, and the second to last part. The very ending was super funny that Quagmire (From Family Guy) was on the computer. I had to crack at that part. Overall, a superb episode. Hopefully, I'll get a perfect score for this season already. 9/10moreless
  • The Unbrave One

    6.0
    "Fair"
The episode begins with Stan and Steve at a cinema. It starts off with a funny joke, using their common impaling gags. Stan ends up having a fight with a muscular guy and his son. Steve goes out to get help, as you should, and Stan ends up seeing Steve as weak and cowardly. I'm not going to bother explaining the rest of the episode because they've done this numerous times already.

Stan is disappointed in Steve over something, Steve proves himself and then they make up.

I will comment on how, later in the episode, it goes on to Steve not caring about his father's approval anymore. Only to have Stan approve of him afterwards so they can do tons more of these episodes. I have given this episode a 6 because of the lazy writing. It's definately starting to wear down with numerous drag-on gags and forced catch-phrases.

Anyways I'm hoping this show starts getting good again. Family Guy is atrocious and Cleveland Show was getting better only to have Seth MacFarlane's political views ruin it.

Mediocre at best overall, not worth watching.moreless

    "Good"
Yeah, they have done this one before, they have already had a number of American Dad episodes based on Steve trying to prove his manliness, but there were some funny scenes today, and even Francine had some good lines today. The show is sharp and witty as you saw in this episode, even if the storylines are a little bit forced and contrive.
  • This episode is so BAD and BORING at the same time

    3.5
    "Bad"
When Steve tries to prove himself as a macho man to Stan, he follows in Roger's footsteps and tries to change himself from the outside in with a superhero persona. Meanwhile, Francine is going through an identity crisis of her own when she receives surprising news that could change the family forever.Well, it looks like this episode has two B's that makes it it reason that it is so low... BAD and BORING. I think some, if not, all of us can agree that "American Dad" is going downhill. I really don't see how people can like this show better than "Family Guy". I mean, it's your opinion and it's fine but what bugs me is that when American Dad makes some religious episodes.... people love/like BUT if Family Guy makes a religious episodes, people get all psycho and say how bad the episode is. I still can't understand how some people love that awful Christmas episode "Season's Beatings". Anyways, back to the reason why my score is so low. The storyline to this episode really dragged and it was super boring. There was really like that not much humor. I only like 3 chuckles and one laugh from this show. That one and only laugh that I got from this episode was when Steve pushed that kid off the scooter so he can borrow the scooter to save the baby in the car that reversing all the way down the hill. The 3 chuckles were very little and weren't really a laugh but they are chuckles so yeah. Francine's storyline on how she may be pregnant was very boring as well. I also hated the beginning of the episode with Stan getting beat up at the movie theater and Stan calling Steve "unbrave". Seriously? Steve was being a good son by going to that lady who works at the theater to take care of the situation and Stan dare calls him "unbrave". I also hate how Stan treated Steve in this episode and also hated how he wanted to name the (maybe new baby Francine is having) baby "Steve". It was also ridiculous how Stan renamed Steve "Eve". Also, the "maybe baby" thing is so stupid and so annoying... can you people honestly think that is funny. I've seen this before and I'm saying it again... this show is really going downhill and is becoming ridiculous. This season has probably the been the worst of this show and the only PERFECT episode this season was "Hot Water". Overall, this episode was so bad and so boring... this show is really getting worse and worse every time but at least this wasn't as awful as the previous episode "Season's Beatings" but yeah pick it up "American Dad". "Family Guy" is having a better season than "American Dad" this year, no joke. 3.5/10moreless
