A intresting episode that told us a bit more about our comic relief, Spud. But I never would of guessed that he was a genuis. This is the same guy collects belly-button lint.
The episode is about when Spud is assighned to a school for geniuses, which is bad for him seeing that he hides his smartness. but things get worse when he finds out that the school is not all it seems to be.
But of course this still connects Jake and mystical realm protecting and you will see a little "Dragon Up" in this episode. This episode is really funny so It's a great episode to see.moreless

Spud gets a perfect score on a government issued standardized exam at school and is recruited to a special top-secret school called "The Genius Institute". He soon discovers that there's more to the school than meets the eye.

The way Jake and Trixie entered Pandarus' fortress is the same way as The Scarecrow, Tinman, and Lion did in "The Wizard of Oz". Also, Jake's tail was sticking out of his disguise, just like the Lion's.

The title of this episode is an obvious reference to the 2001 movie, "A Beautiful Mind" (starring Russell Crowe), which was also an adaptation of a 1998 biography of the same name.
