  • Jake has to pass three tests...

    "Superb"
Jake has to pass some 2 out of 3 dragon tests to prove himself to the Dragon Council. However, while he is doing this, one of the judges is working for the Dark Dragon consistently trying to get Jake's grandpa fired. Also, not only is this is a problem but the Australian dragon Jake is facing keeps pranking Jake. This makes Jake lose his consentration making it harder for him. After this, things get worse. On the last test Jake finds the #1 enemy the Dark Dragon who ends up messing up the tests. The Australian dragon is kidnapped, Jake rescues him, then, cruely he cuts in front of Jake and dishonorabley wins. So, overall, this was quite an adventorous episode.

Is is by far one of the best episodes in season one and in the series. A new character is introduced. The Austrailian Dragon Fred Nerk. He and Jake get off at a bad start in the beginning of the episode. The Dark Dragon is also introduced in this episode and he also plays a big part in this series, and the series finale Hong Kong Longs. It is a great episode and Jake saves Fred from the dark dragon in a race. Jake is also one of the two dragons to fight the dark dragon and live, the other person is Loa Shi

This is one of my favorite episodes of ADJL. I don't care too much for that Australian kid though. He really got on my nerves, but I like the pranks he and Jake played on each other. I also liked the racing scene at the end of the episode. The Dark Dragon has got to be the best villain ever! I think he's going to be my new favorite character; well, it's a tie between him and Rose. I think it's cool that Jake's grandfather was the only one to ever live while fighting him, and now Jake is the second. I hope the Dark Dragon will be in more eps in the future.
  • Why's everybody always picking on Jake

Jake meets the Dragon Council, and already Council member Chang is on his case. And having to deal with Fred Nerk, the biggest Dragon Jerk in the world who pulls pranks on Jake just because Jake is the newest Dragon on the block, that guys has got to learn to let it go. And also having to fight his newest nemesis the Dark Dragon makes all this wild, If only Jake wasn't pressured so much to pass all of his exams then he wouldn't have lost his first test, even though he got enough credit to pass for saving Nerk.

this was a good episode, i liked seeing other dragons, and the alstralian one was pretty cool, i liked that pranks they had going on between them. his tests were pretty cool, i liked the snezzing one and the brownies were cute. the last one was cute and i liked that he didnt pick a easy dragon to beat. the end was ok i didnt really like jakes speach, though i liked the very end when gradpa was being a kill joy. good episode.

I never really knew about the Dragon council or where they lived intil I saw this episode. I wanted to tape this exciting episode but I didn't. When I saw it I absoltuly loved it. When Jake first meet the dragon council I was "begging" him to make a good inpression. But, Jake's NYC slang and his hyper attitude got to him. I found out that Jake was the first American Dragon!!! Yay!!! I also found out that there were kid dragons from all over the world! The hawaiian dragon was just annoying until the end when they made up. I liked when Jake and Fu did nasty pranks on the hawaiian dragon! It was open warfare. Jake was given a conquest of 3 diffacult tasks to complete by the council. One he flunked, and Granpa was annoyed by that becasue if he failed 2 more Granpa couldn't train Jake any more and Jake would be given a new master. But, that didn't happen. I found out about the powerful and feared 1# enemy the Dark Dragon who's content was fine enough to stay an enemy. Althrough, Jake's battle with him was short. I'm sure there will be a episode or Tv movie that settle that!
  • For sure one of my personal favorites!

I'll admit that one of the reasons I enjoy this episode so much is because of that snobby Australian dragon, Fred Nerk! I enjoyed the fact that Jake and him were having mini-prank wars during this serious event!

Though the jokes were kinda lame, this episode still got a laugh outta me! And I'll tell you people -- there's nothing I enjoy more than laughing!

Amongst the commotion of top pranker, it also showed a more serious and emotional side to Lao Shi. He really was determined to train Jake at the beginning and his persistance let him do so -- but even with as much doubt as he had in Jake at the arrival of Draco Isle, in the end he knew he had taught his student well and believed in Jake -- even after it seemed he wouldn't get to keep Jake as his student.

Yeah... one of my favorite episodes. =P

This episode is amazing! It had so much packed into it. I loved the three tasks, and when Jake blew the ice Fu Dog's head off. I also liked all the pranks that Jake pulled. But above all was the meeting with the dark dragon. He looks so scary, and powerful. He is definately my favorite bad-guy.
  • In this episode jake faces off against the no 1 villan

This episode is very good. Not only are there more dragons, but there is also the black one. So powerfull that he was feared by all. Also the episode ends on a cliff hanger, with them realising that there is a triator in thier midst. Then of course there are the tasks, whech though short are good.
  • Wicked episode!!! I luv The Australian dragon!!! It brought together everything great about the series.

When i first saw this show on saturday disney, i didn't like it. Now i love it. I've watched a few eps, though this is my fav! Like i said, the australian dragon Fred (i think) was the best!

I would love to see him in further episodes, i think that wuld be wicked. Or if Jake came to Australia to help him or something. Being from Australia, i noticed his accent was a little strange, but no complantes!
  • This episode was off the hook for real...it had laughs, action and the introduction of the baddest villain to date on AD:JL...

One can never get tired of watching this episode. The pranks between the Am Drag and Nerk is gold, and the Jakesta proving himself during the three tests and the Dark Dragon emerging...it's great...

This episode is where the Jakesta proves he's got what it takes to be the American Dragon and clowned Nerk as well...We also get to see the connection between the Dragon Council and magical creatures, the Huntsclan and the Dark Dragon...
