Liked Opening Episode it really is a opening statement the animation was very good and i liked the story line so far this story is in the early stages of change also during this review it has come to my attention that this show has finished or taken of the air we must not let it end this way this a very great show this being my first review. So If there are any save Jake Long The American dragon groups out there can you contact me at my e-mail address jaleel-spry@hotmail.com and that raps up the review P.S American Dragon Jake Long Rulez
This is the very first episode of American Dragon: Jake Lng ever made. Jake is learning about his dragon powers in this episode and must master some skills that his dragon master and grandpa, Lao Shi gives him. In the start, Jake's Grandpa is not very happy with Jake's dragon skills, so he puts him to work. Jake dislikes it so the next day he doesn't turn up for dragon training. While Grandpa and Fu Dog are waiting for him to arrive, the Huntsman shows up with Huntsgirl and stops Grandpa from doing anything with a spinx hair net. Fu Dog hides by flushing himself down the toilet. He later pops up the drain at Jake's place and tells him everything that happened Jake must now save Grandpa.
This episode is truly excellent and I love watching it again and again.
During this ep. we meet all the charators and learn jake has dragon powers. Even though i didn't catch on to this when i saw the ep. the first time i saw it we also learn rose is huntsgirl if you see the birthmark on her hand when the glove fell off. We pretty much learn nothing about rose in this episode execpet she is jake's love iterest, the huntsgirl, and that she just met jake and she new at his school. The episode is mainly about jake avoiding his duty as the american dragon because gramps is making him do ridculous training like in karate kid ( the painting in kk the toulit clean in amdrag ). Spud who is the greatest cartoon chartor ever and trixie are begining to think jake is becomeing less of a friend and convince him to miss traing tuss getting gramps and fu in trouble with the huntsman and huntsgirl.
Jake learns he is protector of America. A big responsibility for a 13 year old. He does not approve of his Grandfather's methods of training him to be that protector, which leads to near catastrophic results. Jake meets a girl named Rose, who he instantly falls for, literally. At the same time he encounters the huntsman with his new apprentice, huntsgirl. Jake takes a liking to her and sort of flirts with her. But, is there a connection with Rose and Huntsgirl? Look closely at the fight scene on the roof, and then look at Jake and Rose's first meeting. That will play a key role in the later episodes.
In this episode we see Jake Long being trained by his granpa in manny funny situations, and we also see that the girl Jake has a crush on is part of the evil Hunstclan.
I think this pilot is really good and also it shows many interesting things like rose being the Huntsgirl but I think it would have been better if they had shown the time when Jake discovered that he was a dragon and tried to master his powers, but nevertheless this episode is really good as a pilot and has some really funny dialogs and good drawings and allusions.
this was the first episode and as far as most first episodes go this was a pretty good one, they could have explained a bit more in the begining but eventually they did. i like the part where he had to clean the tolit his reation is just plain funny. my favorite part is where he's taling about wanting to be normal like his dad then he says that he uses the term very losely. it also find out that the girl he has the crush on is part of the evil group. so this was a pretty good episode.
This is the debut of the show so let's get started. Jake is just getting started in his dragon training and his grandpa is trying to teach him that he wont be there forever. When they see huntsclan after some unicorn horns jake trys to learn huis powers, but still has trouble.
Jake goes to schol like everyone else and has a teacher that thinks elves and stuff is real (which will come in later in the show) He's got his 2 freinds Trixie and Spud. spuds a idoit and trixie a sassy black girl. Jake comes back to the roof where his grandpa works for more training, but the huntsclan is near. All of Jakes training was just too clean up his grandpas shop (lol) so he goes home apparently his sister has dragon powers, but Jakes dad has no idea of there powers. Jake is feeling the weight of having a whole city on his hands. Jake decides to skip his training one day his grandpa is ambusehed by the huntsclan and goes dragon, but gets caught. meanwhile Jake is sk8 boarding. later he gets home and foo dog gets to his house and tells jake grandpas gone then jake goes full dragon for the first time then goes to fight for grandpa. jake gets there and fights the huntsclan, but when Jake is fighting he learns that all the cleaning helps him defeat the huntsclan for now......
This series has been around for a few years and I've only just taken the time to sit down and watch it. And, I must say, it isn't bad.
Right from the start, it's established that there's an underground of mystical beings and that Jake is being trained as the protector, of sorts. His training was hilariously torturous, but ultimately benificial. His friends and family are interesting. But I'm not sure why Dad is the only person unaware of his children's gifts, because there's only so many bits you can play on the situation and most have already been done in half the comics ever published.
The villain, Huntsman, was fantastic. A good, serious foe that seems almost out of place in a Disney show. The one drawback is that the alter-ego of Huntsgirl, his sidekick, was painfully obvious from the first scene. Still, she provides a nice character dynamic for Jake and I can't wait to see what they do with her.
The animation and design are nice with some good action scenes. The largest complaint I have is the battle where Jake's grandpa was captured through sheer stupidity. I couldn't believe that he, the wise master, would fall for something so simple.
All in all, a fine debut and I look forward to more.
So, this is the episode to draw all of its viewers to the show. This is an awesome pilot episode. It's nicely plotted, and pretty funny. We find out that Rose is Huntsgirl in this episode. =O OMG NO WAI!! WAI!! We also find out about Trixie and Spud. They're Jakes best friends, and like Jake. They like to skateboard. A funny part is when Fu is having the flashbacks of Jake geting beaten up in the beginning. Fu says a lot of really funny stuff in this episode. And you can tell that Laou Shi is all about buisness.
A hillarious episode of Jake Long. The AM Dragon. He discovers he comes from a line of dragons and he must save the magical creatures of New York City(NYC to Jake)and protect them from The Huntsclan.
The best bit is when he farted and knocks the Huntsleader into a billboard and saves the world of magical creatures.
He falls for a girl named Rose who works for the Huntsclan. It's a great pilot episode and hope it goes on for a while. I gave it an 8.4. I hope the AM Dragon never gets fryed by Disney Enterprice and the Huntsclan.:)
This wasn't the best episode, but when it comes to a beginning of a brand new series, it is. This episode occurs right after Jake learns he is a dragon at 13. His Grandpa Lao Shi or dragon master wants him to learn techniques for when he might be in a battle. Jake, at first, is excited about this until he finds out he has to lick the toilet, dust the floors, etc.... He doesn't think these are techniques, but when he fights huntsgirl, the techniques he has learned really help him out fighting. So, overall a 8.9 it wasn't GREAT, but it wasn't bad either.
This show has a lot of potential, but it isn't my favorite show. This was a very good episode, considering it was the pilot episode. I have to admit that the things Grandpa made Jake do was pretty gross. Cleaning a toilet with your tongue!? Gross! I really like the Huntsclan though. I don't like how they are trying to kill the magical world, but I like their weapons. I also like the scenes where Jake has trouble maintaining his dragon form. The ending scene where the Huntsgirl tells Jake about his underwear showing was pretty funny. My favorite character so far, would have to be Fu Dog. He's funny!
this was the first episode and as far as most first episodes go this was a pretty good one, they could have explained a bit more in the begining but eventually they did. i like the part where he had to clean the tolit his reation is just plain funny. my favorite part is where he's taling about wanting to be normal like his dad then he says that he uses the term very losely. it also find out that the girl he has the crush on is part of the evil group. so this was a pretty good episode.
I guess it's only fitting that an awesome show would have an awesome pilot!
When I first saw this ep I was immediately hooked! I originally started watching this show because I thought the idea of a teenage boy who had the awesome power of secretly being a dragon sounded cool, despite the whole cliche of a show about a 'supposably normal' kid...
But when I saw this ep, I realised this show offered so much more!
It was fairly funny, the action scenes were pretty cool and there was a lot I could relate to in this ep. But what really drew me in was the idea and the irony of Jake's crush (Rose) supposably (well, I know it's true now) being his mortal enemy Huntsgirl...That really gave me a reason to keep watching...
But as I thought about it more I released the show means so much more...
It showcased some of the weird and different demands different people get in their teenage years, and all the changes you go through in growing up...
Overall though, I would strongly recommend watching this episode. Otherwise you'll probably never get the show and miss out on something great!
For a pilot it was great it told just about everything and it was'nt cheesy or addeled. The first and the best.
Jake must be trained for his dragon powers but his grandpa is making do pretty ridiciliuos training if you can call it dragon training.
Introduced the characters and plot pretty good but without going out of contrast to tell and show everything.
One of the best pilot episodes i've seen.
It was a great way to kick off a great show. It revealed Jakes main friends and the shows main bad and good characters to you very good. It says in detail the dragon stuff to.
The first episode of the series was funny, although (in some cases) a little too silly. I thought it was great, and I love the fact that Jake is learning how to master his powers.
This episode is exactly what the title of this review suggests. It's the pilot episode. Okay, this is is the first episode in the series, and to be frank, it's probably the silliest. Jake is just starting his dragon training, and things aren't what he expected. Instead of incintegrating villains with fire balls, he is sweeping his grandfather's shop with his tail. Instead of bravely fighting the Huntsclan, he is cleaning his grandfather's toilet--with his tongue! So he decides to skip out on training--for just one day. What could go wrong? Sadly, he finds out that A LOT can go wrong. His grandfather gets captured by the Huntsclan, and he has to save Lao Shi (Gramps). A running gag in the show (which I though might have been just a little too silly) was that Jake kept breathing fire "out of both ends". It was, however, what saved him in the end. I thought this was a good episode, and was glad to see that it was followed by many other stellar episodes. I hope Disney keeps up the good work!
Jake Long, a human with a dragon side, is the Dragon to protect the magical creatures in America. He is the American Dragon.
Jake's grandpa is also a dragon, as well as Jake's personal "mentor". In this first episode of the series, Jake is rebellious to Grandpa's training. Fortunately, even things as stupid as cleaning a toilet with your powers can come in very handy.
As a first episode, this one's job was to get an audience hooked to the show. And let me say that it did just that for me!
I find this episode to be quite hilarious! Let me start by saying that I still find fart jokes funny. I was very surprised to see two of them in one episode! Many other immature jokes abound, such as Jake scrubbing the toilet with his tongue.
I must say, I was hooked when I watched this episode. While the plot is not the greatest of the series, the humor more than makes up for it!
the Magical creatures are good in this epiosde and Jake is fuuny shoting first on bot I hope they make more good episode and Jake talk to the girl he loves is brave I hope he has a lot of new attacks in later in the show I hope they do good to this show.
