American Dragon: Jake Long

I first started watching Am Drag as a "what the heck" and it was a guilty pleasure until I saw that Rose, the very girl that Jake fell in love with at first sight was his sworn mortal enemy Huntsgirl. And until this episode, I was dying to find out what would happen once they found out about each other, and I can say this did not disappoint and where the writers went from here in the story of Jake and Rose was pure genius.



This is in my opinion the saddest episode of the show, in my opinion, probably sadder then Homecoming. I sat in my room, re-watching the flashback sequence, each time it would bring more and more tears to my eyes.

Jake finally finds out Rose's big secret: she's his mortal enemy. After denying it so many times, even refusing to believe his best friends, he found the undeniable truth in Rose/huntsgirl's birthmark. I thought Jake and Rose were over after seeing this. This episode is the best in season one, it even tops the also revealing episode, "The Hunted". It was so sad at the end. Spud was very funny for comedy relief. My and my sibling couldn't stop laughing at how he dreamed of marrying the ski lift. I hadn't noticed huntsgirl's birthmark being the same as Rose's (I didn't notice huntsgirl's mark at all until this ep) so I was just as blind as Jake up until then. If you want to know how Jake found out Rose's identity, then this is the ep for you. You've gotta see it. It will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

When Jake's school goes on a ski trip Jake is determand to tell Rose that he is really a fire breathing dragon that saves magical creatures. Spud made this up

You could send Rose a Valentine's card with a cute little puppy dog on it. And on the inside you could write a poem: "Roses are red, puppies' tails are waggin,' oh by the way, I'm a dragon"

Also spud wants to take care of his fear of the ski lift.

Trixie is roomed up w/Rose so Jake wants her to "talk girly w/her" *Qoute from the show* Trixie: Yo, Jake, girl-talk is not my scene. Trixie does not do the giggly-headed, nail-painting, hair-braiding, popcorn-nibbling, boy-liking flim-flam.

Jake: I'll give you ten bucks.

Trixie: Make it twenty and I'll tape record the home-girl snoring.

Jake: Deal!



But then huntsgirl showed up trying to get a yettie. She droped a ski pass and only people in Jake's school had them. the next day Rose was trying to get a new ski pass because she "lost hers". Trixie and Spud was putting the picture together that Rose was huntsgirl but Jake wouldn't belive them. Jake checked every room for the huntsgirl except Rose and Trixie's room so Jake thought that Trixie was huntsgirl.

Jake: (to Trixie) You know I checked every girl's room this week except yours, Huntsgirl!!

(Spud gasps over-dramticly)

Trixie: Okay, now you just buggin' boyfriend. If I was her I would have shut you down by now, you can't touch my ninja business. Jake dragon ups and find huntsgirl. A fight brakes out and Jake pins huntsgirl up to a tree w/ice and takes off her right glove and sees her dragon birthmark. Then snow starts coming down and rose falls off a ledge and Jake saves her.

Huntsgirl: Why did you save me? We're mortal enemies! Or did you forget?

Jake: I wish I could.

Spud: Roses are red, Jake wants to hurl, because he just found out, that Rose is Huntsgirl.



Now Jake has to end his relationship w/Rose. At least he thinks he do.



At the end Spud is ob the ski lift.

Spud: That's right, lifty. It's you and me, together forever. A match made in heav-ah!! (falls on the snow)

Spud: Fine! But for the record, I broke up with you!

This may not be the height of the American Dragon Franchise but it should be enough to hook any Fantasy Fiction or Drama Fan on this show for a long time. This episode was great! The classification is exactly correct, This IS the reason I started watching The AmDrag This was the first episode of American Dragon that made me think the show had a future and without it I may not have started watching the show as avidly as I do now.



This episode had a good balance of everything. It mixed comedy in through Rootwood's many perils throughout the episode but kept us on the edge of our seats screaming at how stupid Jake was being as he refused to believe who the Huntsgirl really was.



By the end of this episode Jake knows he can't be with Rose anymore, this evokes a deep emotional response from even the strongest-willed fans of the show.

I the end, he realizs that Rose is Huntsgirl. He is heartbroken over it.

I liked this one. Infact, it was my favorite in the first season. Jake, Rose and the gang are on a ski trip. Jake can't hang out with Rose, cause Brad keps on taking her before he can. But of course Rose doesn't want to be with Brad. When Jake is ighting Huntsgirl there, he discovers that Huntsgirl goes to there school. But he is trying to find out who. He finally finds out it is Rose.

This is my FAVORITE episode!!That's why Im reviewing this one....I really like Jake board and snowboarding moves,thats why I praticularly like this one!But thats not the only reason!Rotwood is HILARIOUS!!His inguries made my CRACK UP!Also when Jake and Rose ALMOST kissed!!Do you know when Roses pager went off,SHE DID THAT?!!!She didnt want to kiss!!!I cant believe that!!But they kissed in "The Academy",my other FAVORITE episode:P I also cracked up with Spud!!My favorite quotes were:

ROCK ON SPUD!!!

This was a good episode, with the class ski trip beginning and Jake excited to finally kiss rose. jakewants to tell her that he is the american dragon, but then he finds out her dual identitiy. Very revealing and full of spud\\\'s funny moments (his fear of the ski lift and then conquering it and planning to get married), Jake\\\'s aspiring hopes to kiss rose, and plenty of drama, love, and action. In the end, Jake saves her, but is depressed and turns down Rose\\\'s offer to sit next to him. Arguably the best episode, but sad in lots of ways.

this episode was so good! the stuff between rose and jake were so cute! i also liked that when jake first told his friends that he wanted to tell rose he was a dragon they were dodgeing snowballs the whole time. this episode also had alot of funny parts as well as sad ones. i felt so bad for jake when he found out that rose was the hunts girl, he was so heart broken and they look so cute together even tho rose is a little tall for him. i really want to see where this leads. this was a really great episode!!!!!

This was a great episode, even though it popped up pretty early. This should have been shown closer to The Hunted. It was still good though. Jake just simply refused to accept that it was Rose, and even accused Trixie of being Huntsgirl. But he found out the truth in the end...

Its amazing how Jake and Rose go on a ski trip, and then Jake finds out Rose is Huntsgirl. I also think the song at the end (i dont know the name, can someone tell me it?) plays while Jake gets flashbacks of him and Rose, and ending with a painful event of Huntsgirl telling Jake that she was destined to destroy dragons!

I loved this epsode, it marks a turning point in Jake\\\\\\\'s life, and it is also very funny. Some things could have been writen differently. The plot could have been a little less obovous though, all the hints, the writers could of made that ending a little less obovous. Overall an excelent epsode, one of the best.

Will someone please edit that trivia that says that Jake gave rose the mark with his tail. In the begining of episode 1 Jake sees it and Jake asks if it's a tatoo and Rose says it's a birth mark Jake's tail simply knocks Rose's glove off. Jake apparently didn't see the mark to make the connection sooner.

This episode has Jake and his class going on a ski trip.

While on the trip Jake has to fight Huntsgirl and finds a lift pass. He figures out that one of the girls at his school is huntsgirl. Trixie and Spud believe that Rose is Huntsgirl and warns Jake not to tell her he's a dragon. Jake ignores their warning and goes outside to find Rose but ends up finding Huntsgirl and get captured by her. He excapes and then aptures her and takes of her glove and sees her birthmark and starts to walk away. after which an avalane accures and Jake saves Huntsgirl.

I really believe that this is a sad dramatic episode. It was definitly great and it had great points and lessons. But the thing is, they should have played this episode a little bit later. It seemed to early for Jake to find out that Rose was a dragon slayer. The episode would be alot better if it was played in the second season of American Dragon, and if it had more conflicts in it ( like if they officialized there boyfriend/girlfriend relationship ). I hope something big happens with Jake and Rose later, because it would be worth watching.

Ski Trip seemed a little out of place. I mean I think it's too early for Jake to find out that Rose was Huntsgirl. And it was way too obvious straight from the first episode. If Jake couldn't put the clues together then he's a little slow. I think they should have waited a while for this episode.

I have to say, Ski Trip is one of the best episodes. My favorite part was when Spud was pretending to be a leprechaun. The part when Jake told Rose that his seat was taken made me feel the intense break up of the love that they had. Ski Trip is an episode that I feel is very nice and interesting. The reason why I like Ski Trip so much is because it is very entertaining and very dramatic. There are many funny parts too. It's like the episode has a mix of many feelings that can make viewers change their moods. I'd give this episode a 10/10.

This episode was awsome. I kinda felt bad for Rose at the end though when Jake told the seat was taken, but he did the right thing. I think

the only episode that will be better is \"The Hunted\" when Rose finds out about Jake. Anyway this episode was pretty funny with Jake\'s crush being the person who hates him the most. Talk about irony!

I give Ski Trip a perfect ten. This episode reveals that teenage life is dramatic, regardless of if you have dragon powers or not. As always, Spud delivers the humor for the episode with his creative Valentine's Day poems. With Jake finding out the truth about Rose, the series changes drastically. Ski Trip takes a break from the usual action of protecting magical creatures and fighting bad guys to something a little more emotionally powerful. Some younger kids might not be able to understand the pain Jake felt at the end of the episode. The irony of "Your crush being your arch enemy." is truly captivating.

Dude, this was the best episode yet! While I was watching it, I was actually thinking that Jake knew. I thought that he had known for a long time, just didn't want to believe it. And Spud getting over his fear was hilarious. I give it a ten, because this episode deserves it.
