American Dragon: Jake Long

I think this was the best episode in American Dragon Jake Long. So Jake gets captured by the Huntsclan so that Rose or Huntsgirl can finally slay her very first dragon...along the way he gets captured with other magical creatures like a mermaid who can't swim, a lepercon who's unlucky, a giant. So when The hunt begins jake tries to train them but fails but when jake gets captured he's friends helped him and saved the day!



I really love the romance of Jake and Rose and when Rose finally finds out that the American Dragon was jake instead of killing him she sets her free so when Jake gets to school Rose transferred.



Truly Sad episode! Great ending! Dante Basco and Mae Whiteman did a great job!

In this extra reavealing episode, The Huntsgirl finally finds out that her nemises; the American Dragon is her classmate and friend, Jake Long.

Jake learns in this episode that people see dragons as a leader, so as he flies back home, the Huntsgirl approahed him and he chases her. A little while later, Jake finds himself in a deadly trap planned by the Huntsclan. He soon escapes, but is then hit and knocked unconsious by a train in the subway.

He later wakes up to find himself chained together with a unlucky leprechaun, a mermaid that can't swim, a giant with stinky feet and an angry bronie. They are all targets of the Huntsclan's Grand Equinox Hunt.

A day or two later, Jake is then tied to a tree. But before Rose can shoot him, he reveals himself:

"Say goodbye, dragon!"

"Rose - wait!"

"What did you call me?"

"Rose, if you want to say goodbye, say it to my human face...

(Turns back into human form)

"Rose.. it's me"

(Rose then says Jake's name as she takes her mask off. Then she cuts the ropes that are tieing him to the tree, and runs into the nearby forest)

"Rose, wait!!"

Overall, an outstanding episode that is the season finale.

This is one of my favorets episodes.

In this episode Rose aka the Huntsgirl learns the tru identety of Jake Long!

She lets Jake Long go and this changes everything!

Rose realised that all the time he was fighting Jake.

and she finally admids she kinda loves Jake!

And Jake thinks Rose loves her but ectually he knows it for sure!

Jake is Exited what will happen next and if he and rose can work side by side to defeat the huntsman?

Who knows mybe few episodes after all this the Huntsman is DEAD XD.

Ok, so Jake now knows that Rose is the Huntsgirl. So Jake and Rose can never be, right? Because Rose would slay Jake if she found out the truth about him, right? This episode answers one of these questions. I really thought that was the end of Jake Long. Who knew? That's right, Rose had the perfect opportunity to slay Jake, and become a full member of the Huntsclan, and...she let him go. She let him go because she found out that the American Dragon was really someone she cared for deeply...Jake. She finally realized that everytime one of those "vile and disgusting" dragons are slain, a boy or a girl is taken away from a family and friends who love him or her. She never realized this until she herself became a victim of it, or nearly anyway. Jake also showed great maturity and leadership skills in this episode. We can expect great things from him. Can Jake and Rose's relationship be? Only season two will tell...

Okay, let's face it. Season One sucked. Not a good plotline, not a good animation style, not very great action scenes and not the best episodes. While there were a few that were quite well done (And there are still many episodes I have yet to see), the critically acclaimed finale "The Hunted" will hold a very special award for me.



That award my dear friends is the award for "The Absolute WORST Episode EVER!"



I bet all you people who hold this crappy excuse for a drama-fest emotional finale on your top 10 list are grabbing your pitchforks and torches and deer slugs, but before you kill me, let me explain.



Yes, there are some worse episodes out there. ("The Egg/The Heist" comes to mind) But the reason this gets my very "special" award is because every single user here just LOOOOVVES this episode! Bullsh-t!



I'm rejoicing this piece of excrement was never even nominated for an Emmy! If you fans had your way, this would probably be nominated and have a great chance of winning, and possibly would. But why does Azure hate this episode? Lemme stop ranting and explain...



...This episode was supposed to be a tearjerker. Mr. Guzelian (Who almost never fails to disappoint me) probably tried to make it that way. Sorry Eddie, you failed for once. I never cried during this episode, I never felt emotion, save for one feeling: disgust. Sheer, utter disgust. It was the worst attempt at drama and emotion that I've ever seen on TV, or the movies, or writing or anything.



And the main part of the episode, it sucked. Really. Those magical creatures had no place in a drama/emotional/cliffhanger ending episode, or what was left of those elements. If you are gonna chain him to magical creatures, they shouldn't be comically inept! They can have flaws, but no comedic value! Better yet, they should have removed that element all together and just have Jake by himself, running from the Huntsclan, and get him injured a bit. That would make for a better episode. Now all they would need is better animation.



And not even the best moments could raise the score. Jake revealing his identity was utterly rushed and it totally lacked emotion. The aftermath lacked anything. Every single bit of emotion was overshadowed by either my disgust or the bad writing/animation. I look down on Chris Roman and Eddie Guzelian. Not that Roman's animation was promising, but with Eddie on his side, he should have came up with something better than this piece of crap.



So to wrap this 300+ word review up, this episode sucked. If I could get lower than 1.0, it's get an 0.1. Really. So to any new fans reading this, pass on this episode. You'll thank me for this, Trust me.

together they fight the huntsclan and in the end they win but huntsgirl?rose trapps jake and just as she is about to slay him he tells her who he is. rose ends up not slaying him she lets jake go and runs awa. she leaves jake a picture of her and him at the dance.

Jake speculates about his dangerous relationship with Rose/Huntsgirl and is shortly afterwards captured by her and the Huntsclan to feature in their "Grand Equinox Hunt" whereupon they will let them go at dawn in order to hunt them down for trophies and give Huntsgirl her chance to fulfill her destiny. Jake meets up with many other mystical creatures that are also to be hunted and together they escape the Huntsclan camp. Jake learns to be a good leader and ends up showing Rose that the American Dragon is himself

It is my destiny." But in the end, when she is about to slay him, she finds out that the dragon is Jake. She then sets him free and runs off into the woods. So, overall, I thought this was a very touching episode.

This is the finale episode for the first season of the series. Being a fan, I didn't want to miss any moment on it. I liked this episode more than any other episode of the first season. It's both exciting, a tearjerker, and an episode which leaves you in Agony, especially when we learn that Rose has left the city, and having Jake in a total stance of awe and sadness, which is the reason for the episode being a tearjerker.



This episode was also very adventurous, with Jake and some magical creatures trying to get away from the Huntsclan.



This episode, is awesome.

The best parts in my opinion, were in the beginning when Rose is talking to Jake, and Jake is talking to Trixie and Spud. When he is trying to decide which pixie tribe should get the apple. When he's talking to Huntsgirl, and she freaked when he said rose. And the final part where she finaly finds out that Jake is the American Dragon, then Jake found out she transferred schools.

He show rose who he to save him and the others and rose show her feeling to by let him go even that jake know who rose was with the enemy he did not care about that and he always wanna tell her who he was for a long time so they could spend more tom together but when she found she took of and Released him she was scared because she olmost kill him without know that who was Behind the american Dragon and because she did like jake from the first time they meet in school but now that she know they are going to work together.

I was very impressed with this episode. I didn't care the other magical creatures that Jake had to look after at the camp, but they turned out to be alright. In this episode, we get to see Jake's ability as a leader. I was amazed at how he managed to convince the others to help fight the Huntsclan. I loved the ending. I'm glad Jake finally showed Rose his human identity. I was surprised that Rose let him go and then ran away. I thought she might help him fight the Huntsclan or talk to him or something. The episode was very good, I only wish it didn't seem so rushed.

I can't believe it! this is a must see episode! Jake and some other magical creatures are caught for the Grand Equinox hunt! Jake has to teach a mermaid who can't swim an unlucky lepachan a brownie with anger mangement problems and a giant with smelly feet! this episode is very special especially when Rose finds out Jake the American Dragon! This is a great episode!

this is a realy cool episode. in this episode the huntsclan captures jake, clooney the unlucky lepercon, silver the mermaid that is afraid of the water, bertha the smelly giant, and a brownie with anger management issues. The huntsclan ties them to poles. and the five of them are locked together by chains. Huntsgirl/Rose came to talk to the American Dragon. and he took the key out of her back pocket and unlocked them from the poles, but they were still stuck together. Then when the huntsclan found them missing they began hunting them. Jake came up with the idea to make the huntsclans weapons hit the chains so the could seperate. Then huntsgirl/rose gets jake tied to a tree. she charges her weapon. then jake says " Rose no!" rose says " what did u just call me?" jake replys " Rose. if u want to say good bye then say it to my human face." then he becomes human and rose says " Jake." jake says rose its me. then she charges her weapon and cuts jake loose. then she runs away.

I can't believe that Jake told Rose, but I do understand why he did tell her. Basically because if he didn't, he would've been slayed in to a million zillion pieces. But the point is that Jake learned a lesson in leader ship apparently the fact is that he also taught the other magical creatures to face there fears and stuff like that. I've got 35 words to go hmmm... How 'bout I say that Haley is uhhh 7 years old or something oh well 15 words to go well that's it I guess chow for now! Goodby See Ya!

i loved this episode a lot! it was funny and serious and something important happened! i liked the begining jake's line was so funny i might even use it my self. jakes friends were not really in this episode all that much but they made up for that with the cool creaters that jake was tied to. this episode all so changed the show up when jake revieled to rose that he was the dragon, i wonder how that will effect the show next season. really great episode!!

When I first saw this whole episode, I was amazed. It was a great episode, what with Jake showing Rose who he is, I was so excited for this to finally happen. What I couldn\\\'t bare (and probably everyone else too), is that I would have to wait at least 3 months, ending up to be 4 months, to see Jake and Rose finally sit down and talk. An amazing episode! It is second only to \\\"The Academy\\\", even though it is why \\\"The Academy\\\" episode existed. So, considering all of this, I give this episode a 2 thumbs up perfect 10!

This episode is the most dramatic one I\'ve seen so far. I LOVE it.



Although Jake likes Rose, he still couldn\'t decide whether or not to kiss her or to incinerate her. I\'m so glad that he\'s not going to toss his responsibilities away (without giving a thought) just so he can be with her. I\'ve read stories where that happened, and thought that it\'d be stupid to do that. Neither Rose nor Jake tossed their responsibilties away.



You could tell Rose liked Jake because she looked at a picture of him on her desk. She also realized something about the American Dragon that she didn\'t notice before--his eyes, they looked familiar.



I thought it was really awesome that Jake said every thorn has a rose. It really does describe Rose: as \"Huntsgirl,\" (thorn) she\'s mean/rude, but she has another side, a nicer (rose) side--as \"Rose\", she\'s a lot nicer. It kinda shows that Jake knows more about Rose than you think.



It was so dramatic when Rose discovered the American Dragon\'s identity. \"If you\'re gonna say good bye, say it to my human face...\" And of course, after this dramatic/cliffhanger scene, we discover that Rose had transferred schools and left her picture of Jake behind. Since she left the picture behind, it\'s almost like she\'s going to try to forget him or put him in the past (since it\'ll interfere with her being huntsgirl).



No doubt Huntsmaster is furious with Huntsgirl. She let her prey escape and didn\'t get the trophy. And that\'s why he made her transfer.

This episode was great, i give it a full mark. At the beginning I just knew Jake was going to unravel his secret to Rose. Judging by most shows, the person with the secret ALWAYS overloads and gives it out, on perpose or accident. I could tell by Jakes pressure that he would spill the secret soon. The only hard part was the consequence, I thought Rose would destroy Jake, or let him go. When Rose was getting in her huntsgirl costume for the Huntsman, she looked reluctant. So i expected she would run off with Jake. I was right, except for the running off part, She IS in love with him. But she may have been confused, which is probably why she transfered schools. I feel sorry for Jake, but it was still a FANTASTIC episode!

The episode where Jake learns about working together as a leader of the magical community, and it is also the episode where Rose learns the truth about her close friend Jake, who she might just feel a little bit more about.



You can tell she\'s ready to be found out, after rose was mentioned unintentionally, she became snappy and asked \"What did you say dragon?\"



Jake later uses this same type of nudge to let Rose know he knows who she is, and then he reveals himself to her. She runs off and lets him go. When Jake comes back the next day to school she’s gone. Talk about unfinished business, and unhappy endings. This one leaves you hopeful for a changed Rose, but makes you sad that Jake has lost her, such a vital character.



It\'s a deep episode with its share of humor but the end is enough to bring those of us who are emotionally sensitive to tears.

This was, the first time I watched it, just wow. An amazing episode that pretty much forces you to watch the next episode. It throws in just the right amount of funny and serious for the best episode of one of the best TV shows on television today. If you don\'t want to get hooked on this show, don\'t watch this episode. I was awed at when Jake revealed himself to huntsgirl. And I nearly cried when the vice principal (at least I think thats who she was) told Jake, Rose moved to a different school. Very emotionally power packed. I really hope Rose comes back. Check that, I really really REALLY hope Rose comes back. (Leaves ya hanging a lil bit though dosen\'t it).

This episode was trully original and exciting, well-written and clever. Its the episode everyone was waiting for!!! Rose finally discovered Jake was the American Dragon while his was prey for their huge Equionox hunt! The episode wasn't funny but it was truly a hit! I was dieing to watch this episode and find out how Jake and Rose found out about another's destinys! Rose is my favorite character!

I almost cried when I watched this for the first time. I was just thinking: Oh my gosh! the whole time. I never knew what to expect and I couldnt believe the whole turnout of it. After I saw The Hunted I was just like: Wow! I cant believe that actually happened. Great job disney, great job. Best episode ever!

I wasn't really feeling the episode at first, the climax with Jake's revelation to Rose, and her choice to set him free salvaged it. When Jake "dragoned down" and Rose took off her mask, it was indescribable, it was as if you could feel her world collapsing around her, the one thing she has obsessed every waking hour about killing turns out to be

the one person in the world she has any feelings for. One can only imagine how she would have reacted if she had ever succeeded in seriously wounding him in their past battles. All in all a surprisingly dramatic and poignant moment, especially for a Disney series.

I was expecting a bit more from this episode, but it was still really good. I liked how they showed Jake watching Trixie walk by, and then not walk by at the end. Then end was so sad when we found out that Rose transferred. I can't wait for season 2!

This is the episode that ends season #1. This the best episode ever. Jake get trapped by the hunts clan and is taken with 4 other magical creachers (a giant, a mermaid, a lepercon, and a sprite) to the hunts clans grand eqanocs hunt. When they arrive hutsgirl suspects something about Jake, then in the middle of the night Jake steals the key to the chains they are in and escapes with the other magical creathers ,although they are all chained together, when they clan finds out that they have escaped they start the hunt. They find every creatcher, and try to hunt them down, then Jake gets captured again and the magical creatchers have to rescue him,then they spring him, on the way back to thre secret cave Jake gets cot again and hunts girl trys to sleigh him and he says "wait rose if you want to say good bye, say it to my human face' Jake loses the dragon and rose is shocked she revels herself as the hunts girl then releases him and runs off then rose transfers to another school. Over all the best episode on earth. Watch the continuation of it this may! If you see any spelling errors or wrong dialog i am sorry, i am just starting reviewing.
