  • It's not painful because it's bad, but because I'm suddenly very, very depressed...

Now do not get me wrong. This episode has some great storylines going for it, the acting is top-of-the-line, and the music is awesome. But seriously. It leaves you on a very very depressed note. By the end, we've had Luke and Meg break up, JJ and Beth decide to "take a break", made Sam and his little girlfriend feel like outsiders at the dance, and sent Jack to the hospital. ??? There were some fabulous elements, though. #1: When Luke breaks up with Meg, Brittany Snow's acting is beautiful. The way she portrays the one little tear and then covers it up is perfect. Love it. #2: The song Warren plays for Roxanne at the end. Gorgeous song that I really wish I could buy and get on my iPod.

So yeah. It's actually GOOD as far as the technicalities go, but it's very, very depressing.
