American Gladiators

The Eliminator has been revamped once again. Contenders have a 32 ft Versaclimber to go up. Once at the top, they slide down the slide and cross over the hand bikes, where the Gladiators will detain the contenders if they fall. Once they cross over the Gladiators, they have to run across spinning cylinders and then climb up the cargo net. Once up the cargo net, they take the zip line down the arena and then climb up a clear wall where they have to run up the reverse treadmill. The contenders have 2 chances on the treadmill and then the 3rd time, they walk up the side. Once on the treadmill platform, the contenders then swing through a gridded paper barrier to end the Eliminator.

The Gauntlet makes its debute this season. In the Gauntler, the contender has to maneuver themselves down a half tube through 5 zones where the Gladiators attempt to prevent them from advancing. If the contender gets out in under 20 seconds, they score 10 pts. If they make it out in under 25 seconds, they score 5 pts. If the Gladiator pushes the contender out of the playing area, the contender will start at that zone where they were pushed out.

Whiplash makes its debute this season. In Whiplash, the contender and the Gladiator are strapped to a dogbone. The contender has 30 seconds to attempt to get the gladiator out of the ring. If successful, the contenders wins 10 pts. If the contender or Gladiator uses both hands for support, they are disqualified.

David T. Nelson, formely Titan, guest starred in the September 27, 1993 episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air called All Guts, No Glory.

A new segment called 30 seconds with the Gladiators is featured this year they are asked a series of questions by Mike Adamle.

Dan Clark, aka Nitro, guest stars on the October 12, 1993 episode of Saved by the Bell: The College Years called The Poker Game as John Hammer.

The introduction of the American Gladiators are: Turbo, Siren, Laser, Zap, Tower, Ice, Sabre, Sky, Hawk & Jazz.

Four new American Gladiators are introduced in this season. They are Hawk, Jazz, Tank and Rebel along with Zap, Laser, Siren, Turbo, Tower, Sky, Elektra, Sabre and the return of Ice. Lisa Malosky has joined as co-host.

As the contenders names/pictures are shown, their hometown is shown below the photo instead of with the rest of the stats.
