American Gladiators

This is Scorpio's final appearance as an International Gladiator.

The Gladiators competing in this episode are from the following countries. Nitro, Sabre, Ice & Jazz - USA Cobra, Hunter, Nightshade & Scorpio - United Kingdom Terminator & Flash - Finland Dynamite & Spartak - Russia

Cobra & Scorpio of the UK Gladiators make their only appearance in this Heat.

Events not competed in this heat were the Gauntlet, Pursuit, the Pyramid, Duel, Sky Track, Swingshot, Hit & Run & the Joust.

Pirjo Laitila of Finland & Wesley Berry of the USA advance to the Semifinal Round.

The Eliminator The contenders have to climb over 2 high & 2 low beams, climb a rope up to a platform and cross the hand ladder [for women] or the handbike [for men], cross a set of spinning logs, climb the cargo net to the zip line. Once off the zip line, they cross a balance beam to the treadmill then swing through the paper barrier.

Jean Klenk has a 6 second head start over Pirjo Laitila & Wesley Berry has a 3 second head start over Andrei Akulov.

Suspension Bridge Similar to the American version of the original Joust. The Gladiator and contender, at opposite ends, advance towards each other armed with hammer head jousting sticks. The contender has 30 seconds to get the the Gladiators platform by attempting to remove the Gladiator or getting past them. 10 pts awarded for either knocking off/crossing to the other side & 5 pts for the draw.

Ice & Terminator shut out the contenders in their rounds in Hang Tough.

Nightshade & Hunter shut out the contenders in their round on Pole-Axe.

POLE-AXE The Gladiator and contender climbs up and around the pole as it rotates. The first one to the top to hit their button wins as the others climbing struts retract causing them to fall to the mats below. 10 pts awarded to the contender if they reach the top first.

Scorpio & Cobra shut out the contenders in their rounds on the Wall.

Jean Klenk is the 1993 UK Gladiators Grand Champion & Wesley Berry is the 1994 Season 6 American Gladiators Grand Championship.
