it's probably just on hiatus. I haven't heard anything from my contacts about it yet. Unless they haven't heard just yet. who knows though.

I looked at tvseriesfinale.com and they said something about NBC cancelling 10 of their programs and American Gladiators was one of those 10. I hope the series continues on another network, or in syndication, like the original series was.

yeah it's a shame that it couldn't have lasted a little longer. I'm sure if they would have gotten rid of the glam and glitz and made it a competition show as the original one was, they would have made it. Get rid of Hogan would have been one of my 1st things. I would have brought in one of the original Gladiators to host it such as Raye Hollitt or Dan Clark or one of the ones that would have known more about the show.

If ABC can have Wipeout during the summer, then NBC can have AG during the summer as well. Actually, ABC has another athletic competition (The Superstars) starting 6/23...So that's two for ABC...zero for NBC...*sigh*

Saw the first episode of The Superstars tonight...Man, I miss AG! They need to put the Travelator thing in the Final Obstacle course :-)

Died because of low ratings. But it would have done OK during the summer. Sad that NBC gave up on it...

it went down the tube because of Hulk Hogan and them changing the format of it on being athletes competing against gladiators to athletes competing against actor wanna be gladiators.
