  • And this is how AHS went all "walking dead" on us!

    10
When I first saw the teasers for season 3 of AHS I thought - oh, great, it's only the 3rd season and they're already ruining the show. Because, c'mon - what more can they think of that all the other hundreds of shows with that topic, couldn't ? Well, seems like I was wrong. I am just catching up with this season and I must admit, they outrage me /in a good way/ even more with each episode. With this one, proving Ryan Murphy's a big fan of "The Walking Dead" and Taissa Farmiga's character being one hell of a zombie slayer. Better than all of the guys on TWD, gathered. I just love how Jessica Lange manages to keep her character multilayered, she's an amazing actress and totally deserved the EMMY. It was a good episode.moreless

    • Hank Foxx: Why don't you go sleep it off? I'm here now. You can stop pretending yo actually care about her.
Fiona: Now, I may not have been the mother she needed me to be, but I can smell the bullshit in your pockets even if she can't.

    • Fiona: You have 15 minutes with her, and then I'll be back and you will disappear. You can go on your own or my way. I don't care which. Although I'd prefer the latter.

    • Delphine: Those are my daughters. They day they were born, I sent such hopes and dreams to Heaven. This is how it ends--in flames and decay. They deserved a better mother than I could ever hope to be.
Fiona: Yes... I know the feeling.
Delphine: Perhaps our shared tragedies will... bring us closer together.
Fiona: I doubt it. You are, after all, the maid.

    • Fiona: Any last words?
Myrtle: You're all a bunch of little toads in a pot that Fiona is slowly bringing to a boil. You won't even feel it until it's too late. I'd rather burn than boil.

  • ALLUSIONS (3)

    • Queenie: Tell it to the Army of Darkness.
Referencing the 1993 movie Army of Darkness, where the hero, Ash, is transported through time to the medieval period fight the evil Deadites and their army of the undead. • Delphine: 'Tis a consummation devoutly to be wished.
Referencing Shakespeare's famous "To be or not to be" soliloquy from Hamlet, Act 3, Scene 1. Hamlet compares death to sleep in the speech, and considers whether is death is preferable to life because it means an end to suffering.

    • Quentin: Jennifer Wooley is the Veronica Lake character in the movie I Married a Witch.
Referencing the 1942 romantic comedy, which features Veronica Lake as Jennifer, a witch burned to death during the Salem Witch Trials. She is resurrected in 1942 and tries to take revenge on the descendent of the man who had her burned. Jennifer ends up falling in love with him instead when she drinks a love potion meant fro him.
