Blue Bear gets fired. That is pretty much the crux of this whole episode, maybe even the whole series. People have been wondering why the heck that kid has managed to keep his job since the show began.
Overall, American Hot Rod has not been a good series. So many of the builds, this one included, have artificial deadlines to add pressure. It is almost as though the producers are making some kind of vain attempt to add drama and to get the viewers sqirming in their seats. Unfortunately, it doesn't really work because the whole idea that a company would decide to build a one-off hot rod only a month or two before an important national or regional event doesn't ring true. In a business where a company's repution and future is at stake in every car show, it seems unlikeley that a business owner would take that kind of a risk.
When this shows goes away, I doubt it will be missed.moreless
