    I'm so glad lakisha went home. It makes me feel better about this year's top 3, everything was working out (besides sanjaya) until Melinda was voted off, but lakisha absolutely deserved to be voted off for her version of staying alive, she didn't even do falsetto. Blake was seved with his 2nd performance, but Melinda was the best that night. Melinda is the only finalist to be eliminated without being in the bottom 2 or 3 before. Lakisha was dreadful that night. So good decision sending Lakisha home, America did well. soo bottom line is: blake ro ocks so votefor himmoreless

    Blake should have gone home. Blake is not a bad singer, he can hold his own, but more of an entertainer. He does not have the vocal abilities that Melinda, Jordin, and Lekisha bring to the stage. I understand his "thing" is beat-boxing but not in every song he sings. The beat-boxing and his boy band look is what has kept him in this competition. At the end of the day what sells is your looks and some talent. The remaining three appeal more to the masses:

    Jordin - pop album that will target high school kids and college crowd.
    Blake - Boy band pop album targeting high school kids and younger crowd.
    Melinda - Older crowd due to her age.

    I am pulling for Melinda she has the best voice although Jordin can definitely bring it. The season finale will be an amazing show if Melinda and Jordin are the final two.moreless

    Yeah, of the four, Lakisha is the worst. She's not bad, but she's simply the worst of the four. She peeked too soon and didn't challenge herself. So now, we are left with the three best. Jordin, Blake, and Melinda. All three of them are good enough to win. All three deserve to win. So who do I think should win? Melinda. Because she needs the win the most. Blake is going to sell probably the most albums of the three no matter which place he gets. He's totally the next Clay Aiken. And Jordin's going to sell too, probably something youthful, aimed towards her own age group. And if she wants to, she'll end up on Broadway in the next few years. But Melinda, while she's versitle, is kind of old for her age. She needs help finding her place, and being the next American Idol will help her do that. So good luck Melinda Doolittle.moreless

    Last night, our "Idol" top 4 performed and butchered the songs of the Bee Gees. With a considerable amount of bad reviews from the judges, you'd think voting numbers would have gone down, well they didn't. Ryan Seacrest did not waste time before announcing that last night's show garnered nearly 45 thousand votes.

    As usual Ryan Seacrest takes us back to last night's show. He also asked the judges a couple of questions. They also showed a clip of Ryan at the Farmer's Market asking random people questions. They were also able to promote Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Of course they had the "American Idol Challenge" and the Ford music videos. You know, the usual stuff they use for filler.

    Pink performed her first single from her latest album. She sang "Who Knew." I wonder why she chose that song, it's really old, I would have rather that she did one of her later songs, but the performance was still great.

    Barry Gibb performed some song I don't know. I'm seriously not a fan of Barry Gibb given my age, but whatever I watched it anyway.

    The top 4 performed a Bee gees medley with a number of their songs. I wasn't too into it, but it was OK. The only song they sang that I knew was "Emotions" since Destiny's Child did it a few years back. I kept hoping that Blake would get off the stage and let the three divas act like Destiny's Child.

    Elimination went with Jordin being safe, followed by Melinda. Ryan announced Blake's safety, meaning LaKisha's departure. They showed a very sad video of LaKisha's journey and then she performed one of her songs from the previous night. I would have much preferred it if Blake left, but no big deal.moreless

    As I expected Lakisha had to leave tonight. In my opinion, her standards had dropped in the last few weeks, and that's probably the reason she was in the bottom 2 at least twice.

    On a more positive note, I thought Pink and Barry Gibb were superb! Barry's singing still give me goosebumps but it's just not the same without Robin and Maurice by his side.

    Next week 2 divas and a guy. Who will be in the final two? My predictions :- Melinda & Jordin.moreless
