  • America got it wrong.

    wasn't pleased.

Short - VERY very brief - opinions below.

Eliminated Boys: Joe Munoz & Tyler Grady

Um, what the hell? Joe and Tyler have a distinct uniqueness to them; Joe, as Seacrest said, always smiling, always positive and he looked like a bright bulb that stood out. He had an aura when he was performing his final. I just smiled at how he took it so well, and sang his song, radiating a positivity that I don't think any of the other guys have (probably because of the fact he's much much younger). And Tyler, we all know his 70s rocker style set him out apart from everyone else. Neither were bad; I think Joe was definitely in the top 5, maybe top 3 of the boys' performances. Both should've stayed on.

Who I think should've been eliminated: Alex Lambert, Tim Urban

Who I liked the best: Lee DeWyse, Casey James

Eliminated Girls: Janell Wheeler & Ashley Rodriguez

I kinda wanted Janell to stay, but I think the only basis I have is that I think she's really cute. Brightening and really pretty. (Don't agree? Look. http://www.jpsingian.com/JANELL.jpg) That makes her marketable, and it's not like she has a bad voice. She doesn't. Let's just say there were worse. Singing What About Love (too big) and Love Story (unsuitable) for her final two performances may have been what cost her. And about Ashley, I think she had 'upside'. She might've not blown it out of the park on Tuesday, but she has potential. She could've been really good - as in, final 10 really good - and Tuesday was only a mis-step. The others don't nearly have the same potential as she does. I liked her since her first audition.

Who I think should've been eliminated: Haeley Vaughn, Paige Miles (You'll probably disagree with that one)

Who I liked the best: Honestly, no one.

Joe's exit bugs me the most. In terms of intangibles, he's so far ahead of Alex and Tim. The camera constantly went back to Tim, you obviously know he thinks he shouldn't have gone through either.

On Alison Iraheta: Um, what happened after the song? Did she lose her voice from singing or has she lost the ability to talk without emitting raspyness from her voice? That was weird. I don't think Ryan knew at all what she was trying to say (nor did anyone else).

On Kris Allen: The guy looks excellent. Looks like a champion. Didn't love his performance, but I liked it.

Also really really good that the economy has improved and they could do an Idol Gives Back this year.
