    • NOTES (3)

      ADD NOTES
      • The day before this episode aired, season 2 contestant Corey Clark, who was disqualified for not revealing a previous arrest, had an interview on ABC in which he alleged Paula Abdul and him were in a sexual relationship while he was on the show. Ryan made a quick nod to this by saying there was a lot of shock and outrage on the show, then joked that it was due to Scott Savol being voted out the previous week. Paula got a standing ovation when Ryan introduced the judges.

      • Country Music and Gamble & Huff song choices were as follows: Anthony Federov-"I'm Already There" and "If You Don't Know Me By Now" Bo Bice-"It's A Great Day to be Alive" and "For the Love of Money" Carrie Underwood-"Sin Wagon" and "If You Don't Know Me By Now" Vonzell Solomon-"How Do I Live" and "Don't Leave Me This Way"

      • Ryan mentions about the song "How do I live (without you)" (which Vonzell sang) that it was from Trisha Yearwood. Leann Rimes (the current host of "Nashville Star") did a more popular version, but Seacrest does not mention anything about Leann or her version.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      ADD ALLUSIONS
      • Simon:(after Bo Bice sings "For the Love of money") I always thought Donald Trump wrote that song.

This is an allusion to the fact that this song is the theme for Donald Trump's show "The Apprentice".
