  • Finally the one I wanted

I watch the show every season from beginning to end. I call and I vote and I root. This is the first time in all of the seasons the onee I wanred to win, won. They usually come in second. :( David id the epitomy of what American Idol is all about. Not a popularity contest. A voice contest. Davis A had a phenominal voice but was you. Finally American Idol and the public picked a winner.Davis C can sing anything. He is versitile and good at what he does. We all should be proud of him. He deserves to win.moreless
  • Why did David Cook win?

I'm still in shock at David Cook winning. I was so wishing for David A. to win. I mean I think David Cook is ok but it's pretty obvious that David A. is the better singer. He was actually the best male singer on the show in my opinion. But it doesn't matter much now because David A. is going to have a music contract anyway =)

I'm pretty sure everybody already know that the two finalist were going to be David C. and David A. Syesha was a really good singer but when it comes to the Davids she didn't have a chance. David A. and David C. have a bigger fan base.

Even though David Cook won, I loved this episode, because I love American Idol!!!moreless
  • One of the most emotionally charged Idol's I've ever seen - loved it!

A long show, but so much fun to watch from start to finish. And one of the most satisfying endings I've ever seen. From the two Davids beginning with the duet of "Hero," to the electrified pairing of Carly Smithson and Michael Johns singing "The Letter" (how I've missed those two!), to Jason Castro's recap of "Hallelujah," to David Cook's fabulous jam with ZZ Top, I couldn't ask for a better show. Well, maybe I can. The clunky boxing metaphor was dragged to the point of campiness, and Mike Myers, who is usually witty and on-target with his comedic delivery, was flat-out sophomoric and way below par with his uncomfortable innuendoes to the two Davids. Other than that, the show sparkled brighter for me than it has in a long time of AI grand finales. And the unexpected win of David Cook was the cherry on the sundae. Despite being the dark horse through much of the season's competition, Cook's originality, talent, intelligence, and raw sexual energy brought him to victory. His initial inability to speak once he was announced the winner, his choking of emotions, his graciousness to David Archuleta and the other Idols when singing the powerful coronation song... I'm unable to fully express how much he has touched me and impressed me. Thumbs up on this show and this season!moreless
  • Congratz to David Cook, probably the best winner around over Jordin Sparks

Congratz to David Cook. I expected him to win. The finale was awesome probably the best ever. Simon couldn't even predict who was american idol season 7. The episode was fantastic and I didn't get off the floor. I loved it to the end. when David Cooks name was read, I was screaming to the top of my lungs. His best performance Time of my Life was flawless and he could do it. I know that he had dealt with critiques from Simon. Even Simon apologizes and I hoped that both David Cook and David Archuleta will have good careers in the future.moreless
  • The only reason i did't give the episode a zero is because of the paformance. Why did That David Win!

I can not belive the outcome. I am not trying to be negative to the show or to David Cook. Please understand that i love the show, but David Cook can not sing strong enough. I am in to every type of music you can think of and if i have never heard it can guerente that i will like it. So you can understand that i know what to listen to when i hear all types of singers. If you listen to country you know how a country singer should sound(I DO) and if you listen to Rap/Hip-Hop then you now how a rapper should rap(I DO) so when i liten to booth the David's i can rate their talent. David Cook can practice and then he will be up there, but he is no where near David A. When i was watching the Finale and David A. sung with Onerepublic he sounded just as good as the main singer. When i heard it i knew he was the better candidite, although he is so young. After David Cook won, this really became the worst season yet. Laer on a women that i was talking to said that she was glad that Her boy David Cook won. I asked her what type of music did she listen to(Knowing it was just R&B) and of course that is what she said and i told her "Well then you dont have to listen to him until his CD booms., i do .I listen to the radio stations that he will be on and i will have to turn very often now Thanks to your boy", That is just how i feel sorry. The Finale though was very well but David Cook is not a good Enough Rock Singer, maybe American idol is backwards now because Chris Daughtry was and he was voted off. Look at him now, Hopefully David Cook will do the opposite...HOPEFULLYmoreless
