Brian: You looked so relieved that that's all Simon had to say. Kelly: I don't know what to say. I didn't know if he was done or wanted me to say something. I was kinda like ducka, ducka, ducka, ducka. Ryan: Ducka, ducka, ducka??? Kelly: Yeah!

(Judges' comments to Justin Guarini) Randy: I thought you were good. I don't know if it was amazing for me... Paula: You gave it some quiet sincerity and I really enjoyed your performance. Simon: ...I think Gil sang it better... but you have something called the X-Factor.

(Judges' comments to Kelly Clarkson) Randy: Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, that was very good man. Paula: ...I remember how you blew me away in the previous auditions. When it ain't broke don't fix it. Simon: I actually don't know what to say... you have a good voice but I don't remember you from previous rounds.

(Judges' comments to Jamar) Randy: Jamar, man, I think I've seen you much better than this... Paula: I'm not crazy about the song selection... and the key was too high for you. Simon: You shouted the song. You didn't sing it; you shouted it, nothing else to say.

(Judges' comments to Jazmin Lowery) Randy: I didn't think that was very good... Paula: ...you were nervous but you came through. Simon: I thought it was brilliant... I think you have a beautiful voice.

(Judges' comments to Alexandra Bachelier) Randy: ...that was definitely Miami karaoke to me. Paula: The talent is getting so superior and I think you have a lot of competition in that room. Simon: ...It wasn't good enough.

(Judges' comments to Tenia Taylor) Randy: I didn't think it was amazing but I thought it was a good job. Paula: You look stunning... you've done a really nice job. Simon: ...I don't think you're that good so I was disappointed.

(Judges' comments to A.J. Gil) Randy: It was good... I wasn't blown away by it... it just wasn't exciting for me. Paula: Unfortunately I'm going to have to agree with Randy. I've heard better from you... Simon: ...I think you're a boring performer... the laugh in the middle was hideous... I think you've blown it.

(Judges' comments to Angela Peel) Randy: That was a really good job, man. Paula: ...you really shined... you did excellent. Simon: ...you have an amazing voice and you're so tall I wouldn't dare criticize you anyway. Seriously, you did fantastic.

(Judges' comments to Gil Sinuet) Randy: You picked an extremely tough song to sing... you did a good job. Paula: ...I think this was your best performance. Simon: I don't think you look like the American Idol but I think you sound like the American Idol.
