American Idol

Ricky was amazing. I almost got chills. I can easily see him breezing through round two.



Ashley sounded good, and she was amusing (singing with her mouth closed had me and Randy almost dying). I hope she will find a power song that will overshadow her other talent so that she isn\'t known as \"The girl who can sing with her mouth closed\".



RJ. Before you even hear him sing, there was something about him. Even if you hate that he\'s cocky, there is a certain charm he has that makes you like him. It\'s kind of strange. I was sure that he would suck, but he actually sounded good. He\'s one to keep an eye on.



William was also pretty good. Not as strong as some of the other 16 year olds, but still good.

When I watch these early episodes of American Idol, I want to see a few things. First, I want to see some singers which are so bad that they are funny. Second, I want to see the judges, especially Simon, come up with funny comments for these bad singers. And third, if a singer is not so bad that they are funny, I want them to be good.



In this episode, there weren't that many people who were so bad that they were funny. The judges didn't come up with funny comments. And there weren't that many good singers. Most of the people were somewhere in the middle. Not bad enough to make me laugh, but not that good either.



So overall, this one was pretty boring.

This was sooooo funny! These people think they are good???? Oh my gosh! Did you hear that one guy who sang the Jigglypuff song?! Oh, yeah, I'm the next American Idol. Yeah, I'm as good as Kelly or Ruben or Carrie... I just don't like to sing good "songs." That wasn't even a song!



That Tessie Mae Reid girl... "Simon's gonna love me as soon as I walk in!" Yeeeaaahhh...no. She cannot sing. And that was funny when Simon did that "potato sack" joke. I cracked up!



Also, that Alison girl. She said she almost died on the flight to Austin...the door of the plane broke off or something and they had to wear oxygen masks the rest of the way there...and she didn't even make it! She even got a second chance and she still didn't make it...it's funny...

Austin has one idol to be proud of. Kelly Clarkston. Not sure if they will find another from Austin. This episode was quite entertaining. You had the usual group of people who just knew they could sing, and knew they would make it to Hollywood. But Alas, Simon and the gang burst that bubble quite quickly.



I just want to know one thing. Who are the people lying to these folks and telling them they can sing? Stop lying to your friends and family!!! This one young lady said she could sing like Avril Lavigne. NOT!!!



The funniest moment was the Randy Jackson look alike. He really did look like him, but he did not make it to the next round.



I just wish that Simon would stop with the fat jokes. They are wearing really thin.

Don't expect Pikachu making the final 12!



What? Wrong show? Ok, I must admit that Idol, came with some surprises this evening!



This was not a big episode, when compared to prior episodes, but some humor came all along. The best part, I would give it to the guy that made a fake Randy Jackson! Other than that, the best performance was the lady that did the Star Spangle Banner with the closed mouth! But most of the performances did not came to expectation. So basically, this episode was not as good as Paula Abdul's remarks on Kelly Clarkson. At least it is the last week of auditions! Next week is to Hollywood!
