Season 6 auditions continue from Birmingham, AL.
  • Yet another show of sitting through talentless, clueless people.

    "Good"
I have to say that these preliminary audition shows are progressively getting worse and worse. While I do laugh out loud every episode, I feel as though the episodes are repetitive.

I cannot believe that so few people made it through to Hollywood. I think that only a few of these were shown. I wish the producers would have shown more of the talented contestants. I know that we will have a chance to see them in the Hollywood shows, but I would really like to see just what made them shine in the eyes of the judges.

Watching the judges make fun of clueless wannabe singers is funny to a point, but when an obese or physically, not beautiful person comes on screen, you just know that the chance of them making the cut is slim to none. Yes, there are exceptions, but more often than not, they have just been put through so that Simon, Paula and Randy can poke fun at them.moreless
  • Funny, hilarious and interesting.

So American idol heads to Birmingham, Alabama, where everything is good and everyone is nice. I was really shocked myself on how much manners there people have. Anywhere else they would have thrown a fit in front of the judges. Not in Birmingham though. It almost makes it impossible for Simon to be rude. Although, the last person who auditioned was really rude she was funny though. Kinds of the way you want to end the episode, a contestant and Simon throwing words at each other. Yeah, I like that. So here's Alabama. Great talent and great manners. Makes Simon useless though.moreless
  • Southern manners, big bird, blond bombshells, 6ft long hair and someone who just wants to make Hasselhoff cry :(

Alabama was so nice ... a little to nice. Most people would have gone off at some of the comments the judges made--2nd best episode thus far

There where some great ones like that guy Bernard Williams, he had a great voice, I loved him the best and speaking of voices that girl Tatiana, the 17 year old, wow, she sang like she was 30

I really liked that guy Chris Sligh, he had such a great personality and his voice really suprised me. I didn't understand his Hasselhoff comment untill he mentioned Taylor Hicks, he was a riot, plus I got to admit his body does kind of remind me of Christina Aguilara's :)

I thought it was funny when they showed the Big Bird women and when she started singing they showed her info on the tv for the viewers at home, like they do for all the people when they sing, and for her age it said 26?? but Simon finally got her to admit she was 50

For some reason I couldn't stop laughing at that big women who said she was a cheerleader in High school but she was the "base" in the pyramid ... classic

I was suprised that the blond bombshell made it over that Team Nicole girl, because that Nicole Gatzman had a black women voice and the bombshell was great but not like Team Nicole

Brandy Patterson ... OMG! She had a few to many, yeah she couldn't sing. She called Randy a "Fat ass?" ... she's nobody to be calling someone "Fat"

    Very entertaining, Alabama was greatmoreless

I thought this was a much better one hour prodcution then last weeks one hour show that precedding the preisdents speech. When you only have one hour and over 11,000 auditions to go through, these are the kinds of clips that we want to see. Almost every audition made me laugh in some way and thats what I really like if American Idol is only going to be an hour long.

The girl that talked like a 4 year old was great too, I couldnt sotp laughing at her energy and Simons "harsh" words.

The fat black lady was hilarious to. She was a really bad singer and her body was well....ummm....not so much. She was all disproportional and stuff. Haha. "What normally happens when you sing in public" - "When they stand do they normally leave really quick?" Lol

Then in stepped Chris, who I also thought was one of the best singers Ive ever heard. I think that Chris could be one of the ones to make it far simpyl because he would be liked by a lot of the American public.

In the end, I thought all of the auditions were good. One of the best American Idol episodes I have ever watched. I was entertained throughout the entire episode.moreless
