American Idol continues their quest to find the next singing superstar. Watch as thousands of hopefuls from Charleston, SC go before the judges in hopes of making it to Hollywood.
American Idol goes to South Carolina and finds...talent? Well, I can't remember any good people right now, thought I'm sure there were some. I mainly remember the guy that tried to sing and he was terrible. Then he started argueing with the judges and said he was good. After that, he got mad at them for saying that South Carolina had the worst auditions. He was funny...and terrible. There really did seem to be a lot of bad singers in South Carolina, but that probably is because of the coverage. Anyways, another good audition episode that American Idol is known for.moreless
I thought this was the best mix of bad / good singers for an episode so far. The spoof of bad singers doing Carrie Underwood's "Before he cheats..." actually felt a little fake, but it was funny to watch whatever the case may be. I thought the two heavy set black people to start off the show were great together, but I dont think that they are going to make it very far in Hollywood. The guy might, but the girl wont make it very far without her brother there to back her up. Overall, these auditions tend to have shorter reviews. I thought the episode was funny and at the same time I saw a couple of good singers that I think could go far. One of the better auditions yet.moreless
The first contestant of the day ended up having to take his wife to the hospital because her water broke and she had a baby girl. The man was still able to make it in time for the audition.
Sadly enough, he didn't pass the audition.

Aretha Codner: Oh, I have a beautiful voice. I do have a beautiful voice. My voice, it is amazing. It is amazing. To my family, to people that don't even know me. I stop crowds. I do. I stop crowds. People listen to me because they're just like 'Wow.'
Simon: Do you mean the crowd disappears?
Aretha Codner: Hey, you know what, they come closer.
Simon: Holding anything?

Joshua Boson: (after being cut) My talent is too big for this competition to hold. I'm not lookin' to be the next American Idol really. I'm lookin' to be the next World Idol.
Edit
Heroes:
When cutting to the second commericial break, Ryan says: "A cheerleader tries to save the world...."
This is an obvious allusion to the popular TV show, Heroes.
