It's dim the lights time. Lee Dewyze is asked to stand up and come to the center of the stage. Ryan recaps the judges' remarks from the previous night. Lee is told he is safe and can take a seat!

Ryan Seacrest introduces Lady Gaga who performs Bad Romance/Alejandro live. She starts out under a black veil at the piano. As she moves across the stage she is shown to be wearing black lingerie encased in black fishnet (including her face). She is accompanied onstage by several bare-chested male dancers.

Some funny outtakes are shown of Harry Connick Jr.'s time with the Idol contestants, and then Ryan introduces Harry to sing a tune from his new album. He looks very svelte, wearing black from head to toe, and croons moodily. After the tune, Harry accompanies the Top Five as they do another group performance. Harry then shares the story of when he met Frank Sinatra for the first time.

Back to the results, Ryan Seacrest tells Crystal Bowersox to stand up and is asked to move to the far side of the stage. Michael Lynche stands up next, and is asked to move near to Ryan. Aaron Kelly is next under the spotlight, and is asked to join Big Mike. Casey James is last to stand, and he is asked to join Crystal. Which two are safe? It's Crystal and Casey! Mike and Aaron are in the bottom two this week

Ryan brings down the lights and announces that the person whose Idol journey comes to an end tonight is…Aaron Kelly
