Burt Bacarach came and played piano for the Top 10 (minus Corey Clark) as they sang "What This World Needs Now" which they recorded as a charity single.

The group number was a 60's medly which included: "Uptight (Everything's Alright)" by Stevie Wonder, "Up on the Roof" by The Difters, "You'll Never Get to Heaven (If You Break My Heart)" by Dionne Warwick, "Young Girl" by Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, "To Sir, With Love" by Lulu, "Monday, Monday" by The Mamas and The Papas, "Chain of Fools" by Aretha Franklin, "Going Out Of My Head" by Little Anthony and The Imperials, and "Working My Way back To You" by The Four Seasons.

The cast visited the set of "Boston Public" where first season contestant Tamyra Gray has a recurring role. Also, Justin Guarini came out and sang "I Saw Your Face" from his album, and Kelly Clarkson was in the audience.
