Anoop might be in trouble this week, considering he opened up the show, and people tend to forget the first go-round, unless of course they could stand out, unfortunately Anoop had nothin' goin' for him. Plus, what was up with his suit jacket? He almost looked like he was reporting for sentry duty, and he does seem too sure of himself at this point. Maybe being in the bottom 3 will shake him up a bit.

I've noticed something with Megan. She's not really singing, because singing a song is much different than speaking a song. I've noticed this, and especially last night, she just opens her mouth, and drawls out the words to appear as if she's got a tune going, but I just hear words from her, she speaks really slow, and d-r-a-w-s out each word and syllable. I'm ready for her to go, the end.

What's up with Scott? His hair and outfit distracted me way too much from his performance, and it was a snoozer, piano again? slow song again? Simon catching Paula in a lie? = Priceless. She said that she never told Scott not to use the piano, and I saw a rewind of the moment that she DID in fact say to stay away from using the piano.

I liked Adam's performance, but I miss his spikey-hair and guy-liner, and his tricked out look, bring back that Adam! I didn't watch Lil, I saw some of Matt, but he should've done another song, at first I thought maybe he could pull off The Fray, since his vocals are somewhat similar, but upon hearing him, I thought, "bad song choice," which seemed to plague a lot of contestants tonight. And..even my sister noticed that there's something up with Kris' mouth, just as ebony mentioned, "stroke mouth."

Overall, this was a lackluster evening mired with copycat performances and poor song choices.

Adam- Clearly, the best performance of the night. It wasn't his best, but still had enough to best everyone else.

Kris- Normally, I don't care for Kris, however he surprised me last night with a pretty good vocal and a nice performance.

Allison- Her vocals were okay with a smidge of screaming, but I think her playing the guitar (which I didn't know she could do) kind of detracted from the overall performance. When she put the guitar down, she kind of lost her place in the song. Still, she was better than half the contestants on this night.

Danny- I thought he was only okay this week. Normally, I'm running along side of the Danny wagon, but this week, I was just watching from the window. I wasn't into this performance as everyone else.

Scott- Although there was nothing original about his performance, it was decent and his best performance to date. It was kind of funny seeing him sport George Michael's old hairdo. Even so, it's about time they ditched the Mike Brady afro.

Lil- Her vocals were pretty good, but I was bored. I think she might be in trouble because of that. For whatever reason, Lil seems to have a difficult time choosing a song that suits her and showcases her range. Plus, her choices make her seem old.

Anoop- Plauged with going first and being a bit bland, Anoop despite his cult fan-following might be in a spot of trouble. He's starting to develop the Sanjaya effect- Singing with no passion.

Matt- I don't know anything about the song or the original artist(s). I thought his performance was *meh*. There was nothing dynamic that stood out.

Megan- This performance was a complete mess. She was lost all throughout the song. Based on this performance, she deserves to be voted off however, she'll survive because: 1. She's attractive 2. She has a large fan following (for whatever reason) and 3. There are only 3 remaining females to 6 guys. Another guy (probably Matt) will hit the bricks because Scott was actually decent and will yank in some more sympathy votes. At any rate, the least Megan could have done was show a bit of leg. Give us guys something to drool over while we hit the mute button.

    Bottom Three- Megan, Anoop, Matt

omg I was so dissapointed with last night. They basically got to pick ANY song ever, and almost everyone just blew it!!

Anoop was pretty good with the song choice, but he really didnt perform it well

Megan, she could have done what the judges said (Whinehouse, Adele) or even Fergie, on Big Girls Don't Cry. OR, Hannah Montanna on The Climb or Hoedown Throwdown. But no. BOB MARLEY!!

Judges, stop WORSHIPING Danny Gokey! Yes, he is good! NO, he is not the best!!!!!

Allison deserves more praise than she gets. Seriously, wait a couple of weeks, she's gonna outlast Danny.

Scott, as usual, sang ba - WHA?? The judges LIKED that?? Um.. ok...? Were we watching the same thing??

Matt - ok, I usually HATE him, but the ONE week i like him, the judges choose to give him bad reviews. I really dont care, because i still kind of hate him, and wish to see him gone.

    Lil - um i forget

    Adam deserves a standing O

Kris deserves a longer stadning O, and WAAAAAAAAAY more praise from the judges.

Bottom 3: Scott, Lil, Anoop, Megan, Matt (any combination of those 5)

It was average show. I did not agreed with many of the judges comments but hey, I have seen worst.

First off, I refuse to believe most of the songs they sing this week are "Top Downloads". This is just "Sing whatever you want" week. Two thirds of the show sucks whole of of ***.

    Top 3:
Allison Iraheta (Sings well but ask the producers to fire the stylist)
Adam Lambert (cheesy song to the fullest but hey it was entertaining. A rare trait in this season)
Kris Allen (Guitar AND piano? He is the new better version of Brooke White!)

    Middle of the pack:
    Danny Gokey
Lil Rounds (Just surrender already, you're not that great!)
Anoop Desai (I might think he's going. Noooo!)

    Bottom 3:
    Matt Giraud Scott McIntyre
    Megan Joy

Dude! Kris totally reminded me of Brooke yesterday night (in a good way), except as a male... Anyway, my rankings are

    1. Adam (woot I love this guy)
    2. Kris (totally surprised me in a good way)
    3. Danny (I hate to admit but I also liked him this week)
    4. Allison (loved the song and she also sang it well)
    5. Matt (okay... not loving it though)
    6. Lil' (i agree with simon, her personality is totally gone)
    7. Scott (nice hair... performance was boring though)
    8. Anoop (i rly liked him last week, but this was... not so great)
    9. Megan (she better leave)

Yeah, I'm so glad everyone is finally discovering Kris Allen. He has been my favorite from the start & he's finally getting the praise he deserves. He has the nicest voice, plays both the piano & guitar and is consistently excellent week after week! I'm also a fan of Danny Gokey's. Adam Lambert & Allison Iraheta have always been the judges favorites. They enjoy Adam's falsetto & Allison's deep, raspy voice. I think the guy should have the deep voice & the girl should have the high voice but that's just my opinion! Megan Joy Corkrey sounded like a screeching cat last night & really needs to go home tonight, please!! I think Anoop Desai & Scott MacIntyre will also be in the bottom 3.

i just felt the need to go against popular opinion a bit and say two things:

    1) i saw no issue whatsover with allison's outfit this week. it never even struck me as odd, out of place, or anything. i remember thinking for a split second, "hey, she looks cool as always", and thats it, so i have no idea what the judges were moaning about.

    2) i LOVE the fray. "you found me" is a work of art. and i was pleased with matt's rendition of it. granted, i love him too, but though he may have tried a BIT hard to sound right i think he really put some soul into the performace and changed the arrangement up a lot, so it wasnt sound-alike. and playing the keyboard in the crowd was suh-weet. overall, i thought he did quite well vocally and did not deserve so much dissing by a long shot.

I basically agree with all this! I thought Matt did Good! I was like sure not his best, but it was nowhere near as bad as the judges made it out to be! And ya i thot Allison looked cute!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! Megan Joy is gone! I know there's a few people out who like her. I used to as well. But since the top 13 started, she's gotten on my last nerve. Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye. And I tahnk Simon for being up front and saying that they had no intention of even contemplating about saving her.

Pre-Show: I KNOW Ryan is going to trick a contestant into thinking they're in the bottom for a second and then redirect them to the couch. You know that's gonna happen. Happy April Fool's Day!

-- Um. OK. Interesting Ford video...

-- Aww, they're singing "Don't Stop Believin'" now? The theme for next week (EDIT: now confirmed at the end of the show. Songs from the year they were born) was the perfect opportunity for Adam to sing it, since it's a popular song choice people have chosen for him to sing, and I wanted to hear him sing it, too. He probably won't sing it next week, then. Loved him at the end of it, though, at least I heard him sing some of it alone.

-- I know the impersonations were time filler, but I couldn't help it, I laughed my ass off! Loved Allison and Matt impersonating Danny! F*cking hilarious.

    __________

-- David Cook sings "Come Back To Me". This isn't my favorite song from the album, but I loved seeing Cookie perform again!! I was a big Word Nerd last year, still am, and always will be. Great performance; I really wish I could've gone to one of his concerts, but all the frickin' tickets for my town were sold out in less than 10 minutes! Bah.
He's still looking hot, I see...

Can't wait to see the video!

    __________

-- I so called Ryan doing the April Fool's "bottom 3" trick on one of the contestants tonight (he did it for Matt).
    - Although, I didn't like Matt last night as much, I'm glad he's not in the bottom anyway. I hope he does better next week.
    - Kris is not in the bottom 3, and rightfully so. And, Megan's in the bottom. Her reaction, that bird thing, wow. Flapping the wings and such. That got my jaw dropping, that was just strange! I still snickered a bit, though. They all got a kick out of it, apparently.
    - NOT AGAIN!! Why does Allison keep ending up in the bottom 3?? Unjust, I say! Wrong choice yet again. I'm appalled! *head explodes*
    - Go Adam! Safe as per usual. Danny's safe, no surprise. Lil is safe, although I would have preferred her in the bottom over Allison. I'm just sayin'.
    - I would not have put Anoop in the bottom over Scott. I would've put both, but between them, definitely Scott.
-- Bottom 3: Megan Joy, Allison Iraheta, and Anoop Desai.

-- Lady GaGa sings "Poker Face" and some song in the beginning that I don't know. Poker Face is the only song that I even remotely like from her, but it's not so good live. Entertaining to watch, though.

    __________

-- Waste of time Allison being in the bottom, it was. Of course they would've called her safe first!

-- Megan Joy is eliminated. Ouch, Simon, that was rude telling her ahead of time that they're not even going to contemplate a save. Well, I guess Megan was rude, too in saying that she didn't care earlier in the show. Oh well. Bye, Megan!

    CAW CAW!!!!!!

WTF to Allison and Anoop in the Bottom 3.

Wow Megan is going into Tatiana levels of crazy. It was just crazy and fun as it lasts.

Not going to miss her in the end. Bye, Megan! "Caw! Caw!"

Ugh to Lady Gaga, have she not torture me enough from last season's So You Think You Can Dance?

David Cook disappoints but he doesn't suck unlike the current batch of contestants. Shame on you Season 8!

    Now the real competition begins.

I'm so glad that Megan is finally gone, I couldn't stand listening to her one more time. Well... There's always the last episode of the season when they all come back...

I have to say that, in addition to being her worst performance last night, she had some of her worst moments tonight. One thing is how she talked to Simon by saying she doesn't care what he thinks. Admittedly, this isn't just her, because I've noticed it more and more this year from pretty much all the contestants talking back to the judges and stuff, probably being provoked by the producers because it brings entertainment, but it's gotten on my nerves more and more, and her saying that she doesn't care about anything that the judges say... Ugh... Also, as other people have mentioned, what was up with that "CAW, CAW!" Seriously... Admittedly, I did laugh, but I was laughing at her, not with her. Just ridiculous...

Anyway, enough with the Megan bashing. I'm just happy that we can move on with the competition.

I will briefly state that Allison did not deserve to be bottom 3, and Thank God that Megan is gone. Favorite moment of the season so far. I enjoyed that Simon told her straight up that she was not going to be saved.

Was Megan high tonight? Seriously my mom was watching it with me and when she was flying away with her bird moves and crap she was like "ugh...ok" lol. I was like "yeah shes pretty dumb". She did say though, "shes such a pretty girl, why go out and have all those tattoos?" I was like "Idk.." and then we stopped talkin about her lol. I am glad shes finally gone though. Like someone previously said, she just SAYS WORDS instead of sings. I dont like that. Im sorry to her fans but Im just glad the judges are finally seeing the light and are actually criticizing her where as before they were always putting her on a pedestal. I just hope this isnt one big April Fools joke though, they love Megan and her voice and they didnt delibberate(spell?) before or after she sang so I can see her coming back next week and being like "oh that was an April Fools joke bla bla.." because even though they did do a joke on Matt, I remember a year or 2 ago it landing on April Fools and they did a bigger joke on someone than just "yeah youre over there not over here" type of thing. I cant see Simon just taking out Megan completely without having the other judges comments first and just because shes been a little mouth-y lately when they loved her voice so much first (and I think shes only been mouth-y lately because she knows shes going home and is actually getting criticism. If it was like normal I dont think itd be this way). I just cant see them using the save unless something really unexpected happens like no one votes for Allison or Danny or something because people expect them to be towards the top and I dont think thatll really happen. IDK, whatever. Speaking of Allison, cant believe shes in the bottom 3 over Matt. I was expecting him to go home tonight since he was in the bottom last week and the judges ripped him a new one. I was pretty much expecting it about Megan and Anoop though.

Music: Love DC's new song, Ive been thinkin about getting his cd for a while now so I just may. He just seems so awesome and down to earth after all that where as I remember people saying he was getting cocky last season. And its funny I noticed that when he and Kelly Clarkson came on, Ryan talked to them where as when Rubun came, he like came on, sang and then walked back and left. I dont know whether it was a time thing or what but very weird. Lady Gaga isnt very good live, I saw her on Jay Leno and it was the same there too. I do give her points on entertainment though because most people come on AI and sing just like no big deal with no sort of..light/costume/props that type of thing. My mom though was like "wtf? shes an actual artist?" and I was like "yeah pretty much" and she gave me this look like "what has music become?" so I said "well when David Bowie came out, didnt you think he was weird?" and she went "Yeah and I still do" lol. Gotta love her.

Other things: Ford "music video"- cheesy as always but it was pretty good for one of those. Lot better than last weeks thats for sure. And the impressions went on for way too long. I was like ok I dont care really lol.

Ok thats it for me! Next week should be interesting considering itll be mostly 80s songs which I love (except for Allison since itll be 90s I guess). Until next time, as 90210rox said, CAWCAW!

Maybe Megan KNEW she was leaving so she thought she'd show off a little ? She was being so dorky lol she's an unusual girl I tell ya.

I actually liked the Ford video this week because Kris did a little rap .. Is there nothing he can't do ? I think Matt did too.

As for Lady GaGa - love her music but yeah she doesn't sound the same live. She also dresses strange I've noticed everytime I see her

Next week should be great since its 80's/90's ..finally something to look forward to but I hope they pick the right songs this time.

The impersonations at the beginning were pretty funny, I agree...Nice to see their silly side which clearly exists...Perhaps not to the extent of their 'mental' side like Megan was for most of the night...Something is definitely 'off' about that girl...She's got some stuff to work out in therapy, IMHO.

Loved the Journey rendition to start the show.

Also enjoyed a glimpse of what their typical week is like although they looked like they avoided altogether any actual rehearsing...Wasn't that a bit odd?...Are they being overly handled and managed behind the scenes??

Megan deserved to go but I would've been happy with Anoop gone too.

Love David Cook but his song was very boring, for me...Lady Gaga on the other hand?...Terrific performance.

Yeah, I'm Late, so sue me....

Anoop Desai -- Apparently Anoop is part of the same American Idol Military wing that Krissy Kermit was in last week. I liked the jacket though. I hate Usher and I really hate that song. Out of all of the catchy Usher tunes he picks that one. Ugh! It was very karaoke and the faces he was making! It was as if he farted on stage and was smelling it. The vocals were just o.k

Megan Joy --I dont care what song she chooses. It could have been, "this old man" the bottom line is MEGAN CANNOT SING! A good singer could sing the phone book and be on pitch and key, Megan needs a certain type of song to make her sound just decent. She looked spaced out and weird the entire performance and totally gave the judges the Heisman. She took a great song and made it boring. I really didnt care for her attitude at all either. Get this tart off the show!

DWD --Oh God just kill me. That song is played out to death(no pun intended!!) Is it my new HD TV or is DWD really getting fatter?? Good vocals and performance, but I just hate that song.

Allison Iraheta --My magenta pig faced darling did her thang. I love No Doubt. She was a bit ahead of the music, but it still was good. I had no clue she played the guitar so that was a nice surprise. As for randy he can bite me. Her outfit was SMOKIN! I have a dress almost like it in the my closet. I loved her hair too. Obviously Randy is out of touch and sounded like a whiny litte b**** when complaining about her clothes F off Randy. The only fashion sense you had died in 1973!

Scott MacIntyre --The judges must be blind and deaf to say that Scott rocked anything. Yeah they cut and tamed his little orphan annie hair, but still he sucked. He picked another dull easy listening tune. I swear 70 yr olds are pissing in their depends over how excited Scott makes them. Please America do something!

Matt Giraud --*Sigh* I'm officially tired of the F'ing Piano! He has no excuse, he aint blind! The vocals consisted of a lot of growling and he sounded like he had something in his throat, maybe a poodle? It was just a cheap imitation of a boring song...zzzz....zzzzz

Merkin Rounds -- I loved her dress! This week she had a straight Merkin on her head, it looked alright. I have no clue why she sang some really obscure Celine Dion song, but thank God it was a ballad. However, she sucked hard. It started out kinda good then she starts to shout the words and all heck breaks loose. Then when she is singing I am distracted cause her wide mouth looks like one of those clowns at the fair where you toss bean bags in its mouth. I had my bean bag ready.

Adam Flamebert Lambert: The judges had to be on crack. You have got to be kidding me?!?! A great performance? Ummmm right....WTF just when I thought it was safe to kinda Like Adam he utterly fails. Looking like KD Lang on steroids, Adam sang a cheesy, campy song that has been overdone at every state fair and black folks wedding, I thought Adam was gonna break out into an electric slide at any moment(SYLENT YOU KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!). Please for the love of Ebony, no disco 70's songs!! I didnt get it. To me and those watching with me, it was just weird and very wedding singerish.

Kermit Sparks AKA Krissy Kermit-- Wow here's a shock, another boring ballad. His vocals were the best I've heard him all competition, but he still is a Hal Sparks and Kermit the frog looking spawn. I dont know why they dressed him like a Simon starter kit, but hey that's not his fault. He did good for once. I'm proud of him.
