First, Seacrest asked the boys to stand up one by one and told them if they were safe or not. After getting Jared Cotter to come to center stage, Seacrest told him he was safe and sent him back to sit down, before revealing that Nick Pedro was eliminated. Nick sang "You Give Me Fever" as his parting song.

Next, Seacrest asked the girls to stand up one by one and told them if they were safe or not. After telling several contestants they were safe, Seacrest told Alaina Alexander that she would be leaving tonight. Alaina attempted to sing "Not Ready To Make Nice," but she choked up during the song and called the other girls over to join her own stage for hugs, before she finished the song. Even Sundance Head had to wipe away tears.

One of the highlights of the show was American Idol Season Five finalist Kellie Pickler who returned to perform her new single "I Wonder." Before her performance, Pickler told Seacrest that she had tried sushi for the first time and had been spending money on shoes.

Seacrest had Sanjaya Malakar and AJ Tabaldo join him on center stage before revealing that AJ Tabaldo was going home. Sanjaya seemed to be in complete shock that he wasn't going home. AJ sang "Feeling Good" as his parting song. Sundance got choked up again.

Finally, Seacrest asked the girls to stand up one by one and told them if they were safe or not. Seacrest asked Antonella Barba, Leslie Hunt, and Jordin Sparks to join him on center stage, before revealing that Leslie Hunt was going home. Leslie sang "Feeling Good" as her parting song.
