      • This episode started with the opening credits instead of Ryan having a little speech at the beginning like he usually does.

      • Despite the fact that John Zisa, Jamie Paul Koehler and Kurtis Parks all forgot most of the lyrics, Simon said they would all get one more chance. Also their performance was shown in the wrong order. They showed John's before Jamie's but at the very end John can be seen in the front, meaning he actually did his solo last.

      • Difference from last season: The contestants did not get to choose their own groups and the elimination process is the same as it was in season 1 and 2, that is after each group went the judges eliminated individual members.
