  • So far, the tantrums and diatribes were better last year.

I don't make a secret of the fact that the tantrums and diatribes of the opening rounds of American Idol are the main attraction of this show for me. There were a few relatively entertaining losing contestants this time around, but nothing truly spectacular or worth writing home about. Nothing worth mentioning on the morning news the day after. But then this season is young, and we have a ways to go yet. Some of the contestants are so unbelievably bad they are good and can make my whole night for me, and American Idol seems to generate one or two major league scandals per cycle. It remains to be seen this year. I'll keep watching and waiting.moreless
